    1) all, good and evil, will be in the same place for judgment, that place being before the judgement seat of Christ - 1 Corinthians 5:10 2) Yes Jesus will remember the thief but the thief was not saved under the gospel for the gospel. 3) the thief and Christ were both alive and under the OT...

    OSAS and Two Misused Passages

Both cannot prove OSAS for 1 Cor 3:9-17 suppose to say the Christian is saved anyway but his sinful works is what will be burned whereas 1 John 2:19 is suppose to say one was never really saved do begin with. One cannot be saved anyway and never really saved at the same time. So if an...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

No one can be saved if they do not obey. The disobedient, unrighteous will be lost. John says he that continues to NOT do righteousness continues to NOT be of God 1 John 3:10

    Wanting To Work

The sealing refers to the group "Christian". Those that are in this group and conditionally faithfully remain in this group are sealed. No such thing in the Bible as certain individuals being sealed unconditionally outside the group. The group is sealed and will always be sealed whether you and...

    Wanting To Work

--Simon's being saved was CONDITIONAL upon his repenting of sins and receiving forgiveness from God. --OSAS says salvation is UNCONDITIONAL implying man does not have to conditionally repent of his sins to be forgiven. --If OSAS were true, then why the need for Christ to die for the sins of man...

    Wanting To Work

It was not cheap to God for it coast Him the life of His Son. Yet men today do not want it to cost them anything. God showed favor to men, men do not want to return favor, men do not want to be conditionally held accountable for his sins. If OSAS were true where men are unconditionally...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

The phrase "not of works" refers to works of merit by which one could boast. It does not refer to obedience to the will of God.

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

--Hebrews 9:16-17 is proof the thief was not under the NT gospel therefore not an example of NT gospel salvation. --under the OT law they did not have the shed blood of Christ to take away all sin so they could totally be justified Hebrews 9:22 --therefore under the OT law they had no such thing...

"I never knew you: depart from me, you that work inquity."

Unbelief is disobedience. Believing is obedience. Jn 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him." Believeth is contrasted from "obeyeth not" meaning believing is obedience...no obedience on the...

    Wanting To Work

...and why OSAS is sometimes referred to as 'cheap grace'. Two supposed "proof text" for OSAS are 1 Cor 3:9-17 and 1 John 2:19. I am curious from those that support OSAS, if one who is a Christian goes about telling lies, does his sinning prove he was never really saved to begin with per 1...

"I never knew you: depart from me, you that work inquity."

Hell is taught by Christ, it is part of Christ's doctrine. Matthew 25:46 You have not yet showed the verse that says obeying Christ's commands adds to what Christ did on the cross.

    Wanting To Work

The man made idea of OSAS claim men can quit coming and quit believing yet some how still be saved/not cast out. "You and I are not saved because we have enduring faith, we are saved because at a moment in time we expressed faith in our enduring Lord. (page 78)" Charles Stanley Eternal...

These question do not address any of the 3 points I made that prove the thief is NOT an example of NT gospel salvation. 1) all good and bad will be resurrected John 5:29 2) Jesus did not lie 3) The NT gospel does not teach "death bed salvation" The Bible says water baptism is the point God...

    Wanting To Work

The ones God gives to Christ are the ones that CONDITIONAL "cometh" to Christ and "believeth" (John 6:35). Both verbs "cometh" and "believeth" being in the present tense showing those that continue to come and believe in Christ will not be cast out, not be lost. Judas was one given to Christ...

    OSAS and Two Misused Passages

But you did not answer the question put forth. Does 1 Cor 3:9-17 and 1 John 2:19 teach the idea of OSAS, eternal security?

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Yes but my point is BOTH were alive and UNDER THE OT LAW when Christ promised the thief paradise meaning this is not an example of NT gospel salvation. The NT was not, could not possibly be in effect while Christ remained alive (Hebrews 9:16-17) Romans 10:9 a NT belief requires one to believe...

"I never knew you: depart from me, you that work inquity."

Some think that means God is the one who does the work of believing for man, but it means God is the source or genesis of the work and God has given the work of believing to man to do. (see 1 Corinthians 16:10 where the phrase "work of the Lord" does not mean the Lord does the work Himself but...

    Wanting To Work

What verse in the Bible says obeying what Christ says is adding to what Christ did? Christ never said salvation was unconditional therefore can never be lost.

"I never knew you: depart from me, you that work inquity."

Where do people get the idea that being obedient to Christ's word is "adding" to what Jesus did on the cross? It certainly is not found in the Bible, Hebrews 5:9; Luke 6:46; John 3:21; John 9:31; Matthew 7:21 etc.
