    Seventh-day Adventist

If the subject matter wasn't so serious, your post would be quite comical in its absurd notions, and silly conclusions. The seriousness of the subject comes in 2 principle lines of argument, first, the cunning continuation of the counter reformation behind your post and it's plausibility...

    A Challenge

I would agree with this, but with the proviso that we repent. Yes, the full price has been paid, but there are conditions to be met if the efficacy of redemption is fulfilled. Repentance, which is in effect a gift of God, being the power of the holy Spirit to forsake sin and walk in Christ's...

    Seventh-day Adventist

I have seen this argument so many times, and it makes no more impact on me personally than the proclamations from shamans in Jamaica. You may convince yourself that this is true, and perhaps even some that read it, but my experience and observation of other Adventists have proved this false. I...

Which bible teachings do you think are made up by the church or true teachings of the bible?

Teachings/doctrines that are not in the Bible... Sunday sacredness. And closely associated with that...the abolition of the 7th day Sabbath. Christian groups attempt to justify the above, but both are a product of tradition, not scripture.

I'm Hungry Right Now, What are you munching On?

Not a mango fan myself. But certainly have indulged from time to time. Couldn't believe the prices in Australia compared to the 7$ we had to pay back in NZ.

    Meal Offerings

Thank you. And agreed. Although the theme of this section is about Christian spirituality, and my post was intended to reveal how the offering of sacrifice of whatever nature it be, and at whatever time and circumstance we may find ourselves in, cannot be dissociated with prayer and the offering...

    Meal Offerings

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying Andreason was making the sanctuary services a personal subjective opinion... Or me by quoting it...or both?

    Meal Offerings

There are rich lessons to be learned from the OT sanctuary service. From M L Andreasen...The Sanctuary Service. Sanctified by the Spirit. The flour used in the meal offerings was not to be offered dry; it was to be mingled with oil, or anointed with oil. (Leviticus 2:4,5) The oil is the...

Is it okay to eat pork?

Food nutritionists and food science folk have great difficulty in classifying bacon as food.

Is it okay to eat pork?

To keep them healthy and alive and at their prime in order to serve Him as a testimony to God's wisdom and power. Same reason that Christians are called to eat and drink and do whatever to God's glory

Is it okay to eat pork?

Was it ever ceremonial? Do you have some scripture to back that up?

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

I said...As far as salvation is concerned, God has made all the provisions necessary for all mankind to be brought to saving faith in Christ...and I believe that is an accurate statement. "God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance". 2 Peter 3:9 "For God...

    Didn't I ask that?

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

In a sense that our sanctification is preplanned, yes. As far as salvation is concerned, God has made all the provisions necessary for all mankind to be brought to saving faith in Christ. But not all mankind will avail themselves of the gift offered. They were not predestined to reject it. God...

    A Challenge

You are growing, and rosebuds, though not mature, are still perfect in every stage of their growth. We don't have to be free from sin in order to be perfect. Do long as we are growing and tending in the right direction, we are safe.

    A Challenge

If Jesus needed to die, then at least at that time was there not a record of sin? Where did that sin come from that was laid upon Christ of not from the recorded entries in the books of heaven? The record of our own sin today is recorded until such time as we accept Christ...and at the end of...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

Faith in what you may ask. Not what. Who. Faith in the word... Promises... Of God. Trusting that what He has said is absolute truth. That indeed Jesus died and shed His blood in order to redeem you and reconcile you to the Father. This faith must be personal, and must accept that you, as an...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

I agree with you as far as you go, but you have omitted one very important factor essential for an individual to be ultimately saved... Faith.
