Scripture is our authority. No man can add extra Biblical commentary to scripture and expect others to follow it. If they follow the commentary, they are to blame. We have easily accessible, printed Bibles in these last days, so pretending we are in the dark ages and saying "I didn't know"...

I hate to pop your bubble, but a man with his collar turned around backwards cannot add mass commentary to scripture as your priests are doing.

Charity does not trump Acts 2:38. We cannot love our way into the remission of our sins. In eternity, I will rely on the name of Jesus spoken over me via my baptism for my clean conscience before God. Charity comes after initial salvation via Acts 2:38.

No I don't, but I observe that as I insist on Acts 2:38 as the standard message to sinners, you threw a "charity" blanket on it. Just what it looked like to me.

Acts 2:38 is not someone's opinion, but the universal command of what to do to be saved by the only man given the keys to the kingdom. I am looking at it through the eyes of Peter, as I think of what he would tell me if I was a repentant sinner. Then, I just tell sinners what Peter would have...

The Holy Ghost does not remit sinners' sins. It leads them to water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. The Holy Ghost NEVER vindicated a sinner in history, nor will it ever in the future. It was sent to lead and guide into the truth(Acts 2:38,.... then etc)...

That is not Apostolic, 1st century preaching to sinners. They had a universal command of Acts 2:38 to even qualify for more teaching. If they did not obey it, they were sent packing. The only thing God would have told sinners is what He told Cornelius.... to get someone named Peter to get him...

Amen. But the Holy Ghost will lead a person to water, but cant make them get baptized(drink).;)
