    Passover vs Eucharist

I DO know what the Church is - I also know her name and where to find her ... but you don't. Your vacuous non-answers not only paint you as an ignoramus, they make trying to have an intelligent dialogue with you somewhat futile

    Passover vs Eucharist

In other words, you can't tell me where where the Church can be found today, and you can't tell where, as Paul did, one would go for correct doctrine and to settle doctrinal disputes. I feel sorry for you - you must feel very alone and lost, not knowing where to find the Church and not...

    Spotting the Heretic

That makes no sense - we are not granted eternal life until after we die and are judged by Christ - despite what your childish misinterpretations of scripture tell you.

    Spotting the Heretic

Er, no. I'm saying grace doesn't override our free will. A believer can choose to be a monster if he wants to be. Plenty of believers have committed terrible crimes because they gave into temptation - welcome to reality.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

And if we don't overcome the works of the flesh we risk eternal damnation - so warns Paul in Gal 5. In other words, we are saved by faith and obedience (works), not faith alone.

    Spotting the Heretic

Eternal life can be seen as a "reward" (Heb 11:6, 2John 1:8) and we get it through love of God, manifested in faith and obedience. God saves those who love him - we demonstrate that love by our obedience, without which we are not justified and without which faith is "dead" (James 2:24-26)...

    Spotting the Heretic

No believrer is rendered "innocent" by goods works. God tests our faith and our love for him by our obedience to his commandments. It has always been thus - God tested Adam and Eve with the commandment to not eat from that tree. God tested Israel by there obedience to the law of Moses. "If...

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

In Gal 5:16-21, there is no mention whatsoever of any of faith. If lack of faith was the underlying concern, Paul would surely have pointed it out. Contrary to your claim, Paul specifically points out what the concern is - it is not lack of faith but "works of the flesh" - sin, in other...

    Passover vs Eucharist

More evasion and another vacuous non-answer. Which Church is "His Church"? Tell me where I can find it. Paul went to the Church leaders to have his preaching (doctrines) approved (Gal 2:1-2). If Paul were alive today, which Church would he go to for that approval?

    Passover vs Eucharist

You didn't answer my questions, so let's try again: Paul was compelled by the Holy Spirit to go to Jerusalem to have the content of his preaching approved by Church leaders (Gal 2:1-2). Paul also consulted the Church leaders in Jerusalem to settle a doctrinal dispute between he and Barnabus...

    Passover vs Eucharist

Paul was compelled by the Holy Spirit to go to Jerusalem to have the content of his preaching approved by Church leaders (Gal 2:1-2). Paul also consulted the Church leaders in Jerusalem to settle a doctrinal dispute between he and Barnabus ((Acts 15:2-3). Which Church have you taken your...

    Passover vs Eucharist

So what? Come Judgement Day, Christ will judge you like every one else and won't two hoots about your belief that you've already been saved.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

The Catechism of the Catholic Church correctly and intelligently explains the necessary scriptures and presents infallible theology … whereas your theology is a childish, embarrassing, unintelligent joke.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Yet another childishly stupid literal interpretation of scripture. I won't waste my time explaining why. You are immune to reason.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Believers will be judged the same way Jesus judged the believers in the seven Churches in Rev 2, 3 - ie, by their faith and their works. Read it sometime. In Rev 3:4, Jesus says certain believers are "worthy" of salvation, due to their good works. Read it sometime.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

No, it doesn't. That is a childishly superficial, ignorant and illogical interpretation of that verse. Once again, you have read it literally when it is obvious - in light of the rest of the NT - that it shouldn't be read literally.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

I agree. That passage also says we must keep his commandments to be "IN HIM" (v.5). So if you don't keep his commandments you are not "in him' and therefore won't be saved - you must be "in him" to be saved.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

1John 2:3-5 also says both "we know him": "3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. "

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

As I've pointed out to you before, none of verses say works are irrelevant to salvation and none of them say we are saved by faith alone. You've misinterpreted them.
