Greasy grace- We're only human, and so are flawed. we are bound to sin, but Jesus loves us anyway (Psalm 5 says a bit different) The Lord's grace overlooks sin, and freedom from future sin isn't promoted. Its almost like He can't set the captives free

Acts 2 When I first joined, ( 1998) I would come out of church many weeks, realising that I had to change. Challenged, convicted yes, but armed with the solution-had a healthy hunger for The Word. .. had hope Isolation shouldn't appeal so much, we're sociable creatures.

Sometimes I get frustrated and rant, sorry, your messages have helped me to realise that there is a bigger plan of The Lord. Its good to have Christians to rant to, even if it's just online. :rolleyes:

Greasy grace is the problem. I had a job in church, another distraction-for a whole decade! 'pew polishers', are only there for the gossip. I loath gossip (And liars). I couldn't teach, because, I'm female ( I could teach the younger women, I s'pose, how to be the best at the latest...

I started this thread in March. I'm so fed up of lukewarm messages. Ear tickling etc. That's another six months wasted...starting to think I should give church (social club) up and just stick to reading/listening to The Word.

His name is Paul, and I saw him on Sunday. He's still coming to church, so that's good.

I've not seen him recently. Please keep praying. Last time I saw him he was rambling about a voodoo/ curse pin. Don't know what else to say. I did tell him over 30 people are now praying for him, which seemed to go down well :(

He has confessed to having mental health issues. Has revealed more of his dark past. He's still coming to church. Please keep praying for his deliverance, and thankyou to all who are praying for him.

If we abide in Jesus, we will bear fruit. If we do not abide in Him, we wither and will eventually burn. We are cleansed by His Word (v.3) Without Jesus, we can do nothing.

Hi strepho, thankyou for the Scriptures. he's certainly repentant, to the point of despair. He's made the right choice, but believes that his past was so bad. He's reading The Bible, and attending Bible study. He knows the warnings in deuteronomy 18. Thinks the demons are in him, and kept...

A church brother, used to practice witchcraft. Is really messed up and looking for deliverance from 'demons' which he believes are in him. Please pray that Jesus heals him.
