Members insisting on being only accountable to 'God's Word' can have all sorts of cranky beliefs. I think a separate thread on the Nicene Creed might be helpful. I am not sure that we have any RC's in the bible study at all.

Take a look at verse that follows... 13"...Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith." That seems a lot more appropriate than declaring a member a 'son of the devil...' So judging a member brings judgement on you (Rom 14) I hope you are aware of the seriousness of this.

No so... I have challenged Steve's position consistently. You must be aware that influential writers like C.S.Lewis held to a UR doctrine as did many respected church fathers. Make no mistake I don't agree with UR - but unlike you I think Loving Reason is better than a whip.

Sadly that can mean many things... The Nicene Creed lays out basic biblical facts that we on this forum agree with - this avoids much fruitless argument.
