    I am not sure that we can make a case for Love always being passive. Scripture as a whole presents a righteous, just, and loving God at times acting against mans will and sometimes forcefully.

    I think it more likely that they gathered in a community space already established for feasts/weddings etc. This early church was a gathering rather than an institution.

    @face2face This is a private Bible study set up by the Mods that is friendly and avoids the usual conflicts that dominate the Forum. We have two rules - no argument on the Trinity and members of this thread must agree on the Nicene Creed. From your confession, you don't qualify to be among us.
