Not by works - but by faith

If your suggesting the English language was derived from the Latin, we can't go any further. See how that works. No agreement, no further discussion.

Not by works - but by faith

Pistis is the exact origin of where we get our English word "Faith." By my count you agree with no.2 and that's it. These aren't my opinions, they are easily validated facts. If you don't agree with them , you must have a reason to not accept these facts. So let's look at fact 1. Pistis is...

Not by works - but by faith

First, let's see if you can accept the mountain of facts one at a time as I share them with you? 1) Pistis is the Greek word where we get our English word Faith, a noun used 245 times. 2) pisteuo is the corresponding verb to the noun Pistis, and is used 248 times in the NT. 3) The English...

Not by works - but by faith

So highlighting a word that used 248 times in the NT is scriptural enough?

Not by works - but by faith

There's no such thing as believing and recieving in anything that will result in recieving the Spirit of Christ.

Not by works - but by faith

I really don't think much about how people feel about me or how I behave towards them. My complete focus is trying to break through the lifetimes of backwards teaching people are buried under. I know that when we all meet on the other side, people will chastise me for not pushing them harder. I...

Not by works - but by faith

But if I ask how you fulfilled NT pisteuo that results in recieving the Spirit of Christ, would you be able to answer that?

Not by works - but by faith

Only with those who genuinely want to learn.

    I'll pass. Anyone else?

Not by works - but by faith

Because neither of you have the ability to listen! And, you don't want to learn, you want to teach. Your both happy on your path so let someone who can listen, and has the desire to learn have a chance.

Not by works - but by faith

Faith is the " substance" of things hoped for! Not assurance! Faith to be Faith can't be seen or assured. Once the object of Faith is seen or assured, it's not Faith anymore but has become a fact. The word"assurance" doesn't appear in any legit definition of pisteuo.

Not by works - but by faith

The topic is Faith and how it's fulfilled. Salvation is by Grace through Faith?

Not by works - but by faith

Carry on with somebody else? Or Carry on with you? If you read my archived posts you get a sense of where I'm coming from. If you don't want to do that, I'll start from the beginning here now. Your call.

Not by works - but by faith

It's simple with me. I look for those who are willing to put their understanding on the table to be tested. And by the same token, I put my understandings on the table also. But if someone doesn't agree with the understanding I've presented, they " must" replace with a better one...
