Not by works - but by faith

You " messed up " by disrespecting me! I'll wait to see if anyone else is desiring to know Christ better.

Not by works - but by faith

Been studying about pisteuo for 33 years. You can't even spell it correctly.

Not by works - but by faith

Then I won't bother you with anything more like what the Greek definition of pisteuo is.

Not by works - but by faith

Our Faith! The problem is you've probably never been told what true NT saving Faith is. Want to take a shot at it?

Not by works - but by faith

Well Faith is a noun, Pistis in the Greek. Pistis is used 245 times in the NT. Pisteuo,is the corresponding verb to the noun Faith and is used 248 times in the NT. The problem is the English language doesn't have a corresponding verb to the noun Faith like the Greek does. Pisteuo in...

Not by works - but by faith

We might be on the same page, which would be extremely rare. What specifically is the application of Faith in your understanding that results in recieving the Spirit of Christ? From the very beginning?

Not by works - but by faith

Lots of good stuff here! I understand God accepts us, we do not accept Him. I understand the entire world," the field" has been bought by the work of Christ, the sacrifice of the perfect life of Christ. So the sins of the entire world are covered, past present, and future. But, that Grace...

Not by works - but by faith

Answering this question. If I were fulfilling any work, and asking myself if it were good enough, that would fall under a work of self will. And self will perfecting would be trying to fulfill the law and as such would be trying to replace or better the finished work of Christ, or Grace. I...

Not by works - but by faith

Well since I answered your question, could you answer the one I asked? At the very beginning, when we are called by the Father to Christ, do we have the Spirit of Christ yet?
  16. F

Not by works - but by faith

Ok, got it. I understand " the works " in Ephesians 2:9 to be works of the law, or an attempt to fulfill the law with an additional perfect life, done by one's own will. But that doesn't mean that "Faith"as it relates to the living God doesn't include work and effort, courage and endurance.

Not by works - but by faith

Ya , I didn't follow the question on 126. Could you rephrase?
  18. F

Not by works - but by faith

Do you agree that when we are called by the Father to Christ, we do not have the Spirit of Christ yet? The very beginning?
  19. F

Not by works - but by faith

How do you understand the salvation process?
  20. F

Not by works - but by faith

Even " believing" is a concious decision that takes courage and effort, right? Isn't that work?
