Why is the need to study the bible for yourself; important?

Its always good to take time to yourself to study any given topic related to biblical topics, its important to always consider the context and history along with asking, who, when, what, where, how. Asking oneself many questions along the way, even praying that God will help one understand by...

Why do alot of Christian denominations have a problem with looking into the Past for the return of Christ?

The last enemy to be put in to subjection is death. Jesus has conquered over spiritual death. He also by the holy spirit of God raising Jesus from the dead, showed that an afterlife did exist. Therefore because of Yeshua, all people will be risen from the dead, and those who are born again by...

Why do alot of Christian denominations have a problem with looking into the Past for the return of Christ?

There are no second chances is an opinion. From what the bible teaches is the heavenly jerusalem has two parts, outside and inside with Gates never closing.

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

Cool. So does God still send people to sheol? That is the topic. You say, yes cause people are put in graves?

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

That has nothing to do with what was stated prior. Sure, everyone will have a judgment upon death. Resurrection will come to the faithless, and faithful according to Yeshua. There was a judgement for those of that age, prior whom were held in hell, which those souls were dumped out of and...

What happened to Hell/Sheol/Hades, the abode for departed souls?

Take this all with a grain of salt. Because of the victory of Christ, the holding places of faithful and faithless people who had yet to have their sin to be paid for was away from God. It's a place many associate with Hell, or the Parable of Lazarus. A place of always wanting is beyond the...

Is Sound Doctrine Essential for Salvation?

They look towards the one who created all the things they see. Have you ever heard the scripture about this? The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge Can a person who doesn't...

Is Sound Doctrine Essential for Salvation?

Just replying to the OP. No you do not need sound doctrine, if a person is faithful towards God and loves him first, and love others as theirself.

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

I believe that this judgement had to do with another age, which has now been fulfilled, then you go into a whole new scene when you are transferring over in to Chapter 21. Yes, you are right, it's the body that goes in the grave. The soul went to hell, all souls went to hell, in which was...

Why do alot of Christian denominations have a problem with looking into the Past for the return of Christ?

The World has been reconciled to God. I do not personally believe I am going to see Jesus come like the first generation; however my hopeful expectancy is in death, onward. Yes, I believe Jesus said his return was a one time event never to be witnessed again.

Is Sound Doctrine Essential for Salvation?

So does looking at Gods creation, and believing he created it and seeking him in faith. God can write on the hearts and minds of those who follow him in faith. God can speak in a sense to believers by and through the Holy Spirit of God who comes to abide in this who believe. The bible is great...

Is the Logos meaningful, or meaningless? - Depends on your view of Logos.

Reminds me of what Jesus said, There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

Faith healings don't happen anymore; can you prove otherwise? (Either the age has passed or it has not)

Apologie accepted, @Ronald David Bruno, no harm done really, as it only harms ourselves when we are quick to judge and condemn; sometimes harming others in the process. Words are quite powerful.

Faith healings don't happen anymore; can you prove otherwise? (Either the age has passed or it has not)

That is a way to judge someone. Whether or not a person believes in a certain view or not, does not mean people have to believe or accept it for themselves. After all Ronald this is just a public forum with the name “Christian” in the title. Youre also posting on a debate thread, so sorry if you...

Faith healings don't happen anymore; can you prove otherwise? (Either the age has passed or it has not)

Therefore let us not give up hope in trusting that Yahava by and through his spirit and the spirit of Christ, loves unbeliever and believer alike and sends his rain on them the same. It is amazing that in the Poetry of Job, he never gave up faith, even while in terrible conditions. That is why...

TODAY you will be with me in paradise

Because of the victory of Christ, the holding places of faithful and faithless people who had yet to have their sin to be paid for was away from God. It's a place many associate with Hell, or the Parable of Lazarus. A place of always wanting is beyond the chasm; where Abraham talks to the rich...
