Predestination vs free will: is there really any conflict in Scripture?

That doesn't make sense. I think you must have a very odd view of what Free Will is. If we have no Free Will, there can not be any judgement because we aren't liable for actions we have no control over.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

"Until now" doesn't mean forever. If I say I've been hungry "until now", when food is available, you don't assume I've never eaten before. And you don't understand Genesis if you think creation was subject to frustration before the fall. God said it was all " very good". It could not be good...

Predestination vs free will: is there really any conflict in Scripture?

What if the future is truly open and God knows many futures? What if it's not predetermined at all? How would this affect how we live? Or do we all already live like that is true?

Saved By Grace Through FAITH ...

You can see why the Catholics hated Luther. Everything they do is about works.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

But we can't do that unless God made us do that in your little world. The answer to Paul's question btw is " everyone " Everyone sins and so resists God's will.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

Well then, literally nothing matters. I'm either in or out, no matter what I choose, and I can never know if I'm saved or not. However, that's not the gospel. The gospel is: Glad tidings" or "good news, " from Anglo-Saxon godspell. It's for all people not just some chosen ones. "And the angel...

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

When was creation subject to frustration? "We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time." Not always. Everything was created ," very good", in the beginning. It was subjected to frustration after the fall of Man. If you can't...

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

Look I don't know how to make this any clearer: creation was not subject to decay until after Adam sinned! You can not blame Adam's sin on something that happened later. Besides it wasn't about Free Will at all, and it never says it was.

Rotflol. Where did the names come from? Do you choose what to name a child? A cat, a dog? Or do the names just fall into your mind?

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

Free will isn't only about choosing Jesus. "It means: the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one's own discretion." That can include everything from what color socks you wear to your eternal destiny.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

The creation was subjected, yes, after sin entered the world. Not to loss of Free Will, but to decay. It is subject to something described using the Greek word mataiotēti. This term implies something warped, perverse, sickly, weak, or false. This futility—or "frustration"—came long ago, when...

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

If Free Will does not exist, as you claim, I choose nothing, ever. So I do only what God determined for me to do.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

Wait a minute. You think creation was broken before sin? That has to be the most bizarre interpretation I've heard from you and that's saying something! The whole reason creation is groaning is because Eve, then Adam, then everyone else chose to sin. Creation will be restored to an Eden like...

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

If Free Will does not exist, deception can not exist. How can you be decieved if you have no will of your own? You can only do what God programmed you to do.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

Um, no, that explicitly says that the creation did not choose to be subject, not that Adam didn't choose to sin.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

"Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them;" If you can not see a choice here, it's because you are being willfully blind.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

Then you have created your own definition of free will, one that nobody else uses. Why?

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” There's the choice. "When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for...
