    Good Friday?

So you don't think Jesus was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights?

    Does God Love Sinners?

But you're focusing on the "forcing" part of what I said, and that's not what I want answered. I shouldn't have used that word. If God had the ability to pick who He wants to be part of the elect, that means that He knowingly didn't pick a lot of people (billions). God knows that the...

    Identified With Christ

I think I agree with what you're saying here. The Bible clearly says in 2 Cor 5:17 that the old man has passed away and all things have become new. And I've seen a lot of people talk about Romans 6 and Romans 8, but everybody just skips over Romans 7 where Paul says: Rom 7:19 For the good that...

When did the devil first rebel against God?

First off, I agree with some that this topic is not something that matters enough for brothers to get angry with each other about. Personally, I believe that the answer to Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14 can be found in Matt. 16:23, when Jesus spoke to Peter and said "Get behind me Satan." His speech...

There are those who do not believe in a Rapture(Caught up) for the Elect

That's a good thought, but I don't think it's the same thing because the sealed elect aren't touched during that time. I always thought that when Jesus said that, He was just saying that God is keeping it to no more than 7 years (or the 3.5 year Great Tribulation) because if it was any longer...

    Does God Love Sinners?

If God can choose anyone He wants and they will be forced to end up with Him, why did He choose for billions of people to go to hell?

What is baptism for the dead mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:29?

About baptism, you'll get a different answer about the degree of its necessity from every denomination. Some denominations are regenerationalists, and they believe that it's the act of dunking you in the water that actually saves and regenerates you. I've even known some that went as far as...

    Good Friday?

But that doesn't make sense. If He was buried on Wednesday afternoon, then Wednesday night would be one of the nights. Even if you count the night of Wednesday afternoon as being Thursday night, He was still resurrected on Sunday morning. So it seems like He would have had to have been buried on...

There are those who do not believe in a Rapture(Caught up) for the Elect

That's kind of how I've looked at that, too. It's the same for when Jesus said the time would be shortened for the elect. Christians hopefully will have already been raptured (or caught away, if you must).

    Good Friday?

It wasn't talking about the Saturday Sabbath. It was talking about the day before the High Sabbath for Passover, which wasn't on Saturday.

What is baptism for the dead mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:29?

He wasn't condoning it or saying that it works. He was using their own practices as an argument against them that resurrection is a truth. He's pretty much saying, "It's pretty ridiculous that you baptize for the dead if you believe there is no resurrection."

    Drinking Blood

First off, I'm not a Catholic, and I disagree with a lot of their practices. But a couple hundred years ago, the U.S. government massacred Native Americans and some founding fathers promoted kidnapping, selling, and mistreating black slaves. So since I'm an American, am I responsible for the...

    Does God Love Sinners?

Let me give you an example of the difference between foreknowledge and controlling things. My little boy likes to walk around with a blanket over his head. If I'm sitting on the other side of the room watching him running straight for the wall, I'll yell at him to stop, but I know that he's...

There are those who do not believe in a Rapture(Caught up) for the Elect

I may have misunderstood what you were saying. It looked like you were saying that the Mark 13 account was talking about the elect only, while the Matthew 24 account was talking about everyone. But they both say the elect. If there is a pre or mid tribulation rapture, then both of those passages...

    Does God Love Sinners?

First of all, Jas 2:26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. I'm not saying by any means that we can earn salvation in any way. But accepting is very different than earning. I've reached out to people who needed help with paying a bill before...

    Good Friday?

The reason it doesn't matter is because anyone who actually cares to study it will know that the Bible doesn't say Friday, and they'll just celebrate Good Friday because that's when the holiday is set. Anyone who doesn't care enough to study it probably won't even question whether He was lying...

There are those who do not believe in a Rapture(Caught up) for the Elect

First off, I'll say that I believe in either a pre or mid-Tribulation rapture. But it almost seems like you're using slight of hand to try to prove a point. What in the world are you trying to pull? In the Mark reference, you put the words "{ELECT ONLY}" in there. The Bible doesn't even hint...

    Drinking Blood

Like lesjude just said, the blood thing carried over to the New Covenant, even to gentiles. Acts 15:20 but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. Just so people don't feel guilty, rare steak...

    Does God Love Sinners?

There is a huge difference between foreknowing and forcing. God knows who are going to be His, but He lets us make the choice on our own. Choosing salvation doesn't create salvation. If I'm driving down the road and I see a McDonald's on one side and a Taco Bell on the other, and I pull into...

Do you want to know who the devil is? He is.....

The devil isn't just a liar; He's the father of lies. The old man passed away. I'm a new creation. I still deal with the temptations of my flesh, but my flesh does not define who I am anymore. Eph 2:1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, Eph 2:2 in which you formerly walked according...
