    New But Not Improved

Only nonintentional sins can be forgiven (Num 15:30; Heb 10:26), so a Christian will never desire to sin. Their sins are more impulsive (e.g. wrathful anger, envy, jealousy, etc.) than intentional, due to God's "work" in them (Phl2:13).

Thanks for the clarification, I believe I see what you are talking about now. God bless!

    New But Not Improved

I like much of what you're sharing, but there's quite a bit of disagreement between us concerning sinning. We still sin, but are forgiven for all!

    New But Not Improved

I must apologize, but I do not understand what you're trying to say, just a slight idea; especially concerning what you said about "Borrowing Christ Jesus’ Risen body to dwell “IN”... ie “IN” Christ." Thanks for the reply, and God bless your Family!

You would get more replies if you didn't use accusations. Be kind and loving Friend (Rev 12:10).

    New But Not Improved

Paul admitted he still sinned after becoming a Christian. In Ro 7:14-25 Paul said it was his old man (sin) that made him do wrong (vs 17, 20). Some do not realize that these verse demonstrate that Paul confessed that he still sinned, but showed us that he didn't want to sin. This is just the...

    New But Not Improved

When we are reborn, we no longer have a desire to sin, and that's God's goal for the believer, as He "works in you" to desire His good pleasure instead of our the old man. We still unintentionally sin because of the old man. and it's the Cross that removed our desire to sin, plus God keeps...

    New But Not Improved

Crucified only means nullified from the old man's damnation and dominion, but not from his presence and temptings! If you're old man was gone you wouldn't be sinning at all, which is not the case. Paul in Ro 7:14-25 just shows that he still sins, even though he is a Christian, but he doesn't...

    New But Not Improved

I wish we could be sinless, but the indwelling old man (Ro 7:17, 20) means we are still sinful. The taking away of our sins just means we are forgiven, not guilty; and the sin nature will "not have dominion over us" (Ro 6:14), because we "are not in the flesh" or old man, though it is in us.

    New But Not Improved

The way they had to sacrifice often was very bloody. The reason I say "not improved" is because the new nature cannot be improved, but you could say we improve. We are already everything Christ is (except the deity of course), without doing anything; but we just mature more all the time in Him...

    New But Not Improved

You misunderstood me somewhere. I said He was Christian when he wrote Ro 7.

    New But Not Improved

v 17 and 20--"no more I that do the wrong" is Paul in his new nature, as he points out he still has the old nature. No Pharisee would ever say "I delight in the law of God," for the law was a bloody and burdensome thing. "He divides himself as it were into two parts, the mind, by which he...

    New But Not Improved

Hi and thanks for the reply. It's my understanding that Paul is a Christian in Ro 7:14-25, and some think he is still a non Christian, but what he presented is only what a Christian would say.

    New But Not Improved

I say “not improved” because the new man does not need improved, being the nature after Christ (Col 3:10); and the old man cannot be improved, because it cannot be “subject” to the will of God (Rom 8:7)! I am the new man, not the old, for we “are not in the flesh” (old man or sin nature - Ro...

“The Law of the Spirit of Life”

Like what you said here! If you think about it, those who should be saved will be saved, and not a one will be lost. God knows all who will be saved, and nothing will interfere with this; though believers are often delayed from spiritual growth but never hindered. It's good to know that God will...

“The Law of the Spirit of Life”

I'm still not sure how God is going to save all Israel, but your model looks ok. This is what keeps me thinking about the salvation of the Jews who believe in God, which is more than what can be said for the world who will not believe in God: --John Gill Verse 26. "And so all Israel shall be...

    Ruin Reversed

Though the Lord Jesus has gone away, He not only imparts to me what my condition requires, but also shares with me through the Spirit His position and Life in heaven (Col 3:4). All is coming forth in the sublime grandeur of the Man Who has broken the power of death, and now will introduce His...

“The Law of the Spirit of Life”

Those among Israel who believe in God and not Jesus will continue as a people of God and miss the son-ship in Christ. They will inherit the new earth, and Christians the new heaven.

“The Law of the Spirit of Life”

The Law was for a certain people (Israel) for a certain time (OT). There are numerous passages demonstrating the "passing away" of the Law. There cannot be two Covenants in effect. He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second. (Heb 10:9). "He is the mediator of a better covenant...
