    Defending Homosexuality

The New Testament does NOT affirm the stoning of adulterers or other sexual sinners--it was NOT done within churches. An adulterer would have been simply put out of the church, if they did not turn from their wickedness--the church had no legal authority to do such a thing as stoning. But...

    Defending Homosexuality

Because those who quote out of context often do so in an attempt to persuade that Scripture says something it does not say, which I have pointed to in your quotes of Scripture that are outside of the context.

    Defending Homosexuality

That passage is about those who were insisting that Christians must obey the 613 laws of Judaism. Christians live by walking in the Spirit, not by keeping the Law which you have conveniently skipped over. But, ALL who are not under the Blood of Christ, WILL be judged by the Law at the Final...

    Defending Homosexuality

This is referring to keeping the Law of Moses. While Christians do, in general, they typically exceed the demands of the Law. The only point of the Law which Jesus did not affirm for His followers was Sabbath observance. That is for the Jews to observe--it is part of what makes them a group...

    Defending Homosexuality

Interesting that three out of the four quotes you have cited are in the OT. Yes, we are not perfectly just as God is, but we have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and the Mind of Christ. Judgment has been given to us.

    Defending Homosexuality

You forget that Peter and the Apostles said, in Acts 5:29 "We must obey God rather than any human authority." God has long said in His word what human behavior is not acceptable to Him. It is not my job to reprove an individual outside of the church--but, I can call sin, for what it is, in...

    Defending Homosexuality

But, they were guided in it by the Holy Spirit and He does not disagree with Himself. If a teaching from anyone disagrees with the clear teaching of Scripture, then it is a false teaching.

    Defending Homosexuality

Well, gee--does that mean you love me?

    Defending Homosexuality

They at times, did not, but they were still worldly when they were with Him.

    Defending Homosexuality

Above all, love and graciousness should mark a true disciple of Christ. Our faith is not an intellectual exercise.

    Defending Homosexuality

This is clearly a teaching about hypocrisy. It is not a prohibition against judging those who claim to be believers, by their behavior. Jesus told us in John 7:24---> "Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly." He also told us to judge false teachers by their behavior. (see...

    Defending Homosexuality

You are in error because you don't actually know the Scriptures. If you want to truly know them, you must read ALL of Scripture straight through. Cherry-picking Scripture to support your theology is the way of heresy and blasphemy.

    Defending Homosexuality

Abortion is also legal, yet it is clearly evil and becoming more and more evil. It now amounts to infanticide when it is accepted right up to the woman's due date. The law does not determine morality (Roman Law during the days of the Roman Empire was quite unjust at times). Morality...

    Defending Homosexuality

We are told to judge those who say they are Christians and yet practice habitual sin.

    Defending Homosexuality

And what comprises that teaching, do you think?
  16. L

    Defending Homosexuality

Nonsense. Where did you go to learn your "theology"?
  17. L

    Defending Homosexuality

Typical strategy of homosexual activists in the churches--undermining the Apostle Paul so that they can try to convince Christians that they don't have to pay attention to Paul's condemnation of homosexual behavior in the churches.

    Defending Homosexuality

And what qualifies YOU to be the judge of who is and who is not a "mature Christian"?

    Defending Homosexuality

I would hope that someone who loved me would point to a behavior that is sinful and ask me to stop doing it.

    Defending Homosexuality

We are only told to judge individuals within the church (see 1 Corinthians 12-13). In fact, we have a responsibility to judge them. God is the judge of those outside the churches. But, we are also told to be "salt and light" in our culture--thus, denouncing sin in general.
