OSAS Revamps it's Image: Not Sinners nor Saints

That is an interesting take on the ex post facto rationale. I have used the term myself before regarding salvation, but not at all in that manner. But rather that by faith it can be believed that just as we "were' crucified with Christ, "It is finished" also means that it is indeed finished...

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

Here are the verses: Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch. 24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered them...

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

Yes, the kind of twist that takes a couple thousand years is hard to undo. I understand. Amen!

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

Before reading on--which I will do, but I should think that you have expressed the crux of the matter already. The problem [was] and [is] just a bit more involved than that. Indeed, His sheep hear his voice...but they also hear other voices and have, just as it has been established with Israel...

Native Pow Wow, should Christians participate?

Yes... Ask them why they do these things, and be prepared to answer how God has answered their toil and cry.

Native Pow Wow, should Christians participate?

Absolutely--Go! That is “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." By the power of God, we walk in this temporary darkness. "Let your light shine!"

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

As for Oneness with God. You are perhaps referring to Christ's Oneness with the Father during His time in the world, rather than His time of going to the Father. That exposure example in light of Time compared to eternity, is more than one sided, but greatly askew and would be a complete...

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

Read post #57. But no, Gnosticism is something completely different. And what is "universally understood by the church" has been greatly and willingly corrupted. What I am saying is what Jesus said, but was not believed. PS, Hey, I see you are new--welcome! Wow, you hit the ground running...

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

The problem with the idea that "Jesus received a new immortal body"...is that the church is His body (of flesh). "Glorified immortal bodies" is not the problem, but rather "glorified flesh bodies"--the scriptures just don't say that. From there your description seems to express the confusion...

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

Your first paragraph is all through the lens and understanding of men, men of flesh. In other words, it is logical according to how those who know only the things of this world and are just learning of heavenly things (and yet mostly not learning) would tend to imagine. It's as if Jesus...

    WHO IS GOD.................?

I'll summarize: God is spirit, but many if not most Christians look for glory in the flesh...and it ain't gonna happen.

Jesus' ASCENSION, and what actually occurred.

Thanks for getting back on track! You make a reasonable comment, and I agree with much of it. But many refer to that which is born of the Spirit as flesh against the biblical fact that, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." So, if all that...

    WHO IS GOD.................?

It is very strange (if not predictable...and very sad) that knowing where Jesus came from, most Christians come to believe that God was somehow imperfect but perfected Himself in the flesh in Jesus and glorified the flesh for a future Heaven beyond the perfection that God was already--that God...

Does Anyone Here Believe in The Trinity?

It's a mixed bag for sure. It is good and right to believe in the scriptures of the current Bible, as it is the providence of God and not of men. Many will argue from all sorts of different angles. Nonetheless, it is God who decides what goes out to each generation. Personally, in a word, I...

The answer of Moses & Elijah...

You are impossible. So I am going to end with this--which explains that there are those like yourself who simply are not "willing to receive" the truth about Elijah from Jesus and therefore explain it all away. Imagine getting this wrong: Matthew 11:14 And if you are willing to receive it, he...

    Difference between Catholic and Protestant.

No, but they believed a lie just as it was foretold. Yet now the fullness of time has come according to the sounding of the seventh angel. As I said, believe what you will...or come about and know that these things were to come and have come.

The answer of Moses & Elijah...

The irony here is that I have been explaining things to you in the context in which Christ said "all these things will come upon this evil generation" (which was who He was speaking to), and you preach and accuse me of being shallow and not including all things. But okay, fine, Jesus and I will...

Believe what you will. I invented nothing, but quoted and pointed out all that is there.

The answer of Moses & Elijah...

You (and most of Christendom) have misunderstood what is meant by "restore all things." It only means to "Make His paths straight.” Which, if they were not made straight at that time, Jesus would not have gone to the cross, paid the price for sin, conquered Satan and death. How is it that...

The answer of Moses & Elijah...

No, that is the way the disciples worded it when they asked Jesus about what the scribes said. But His answer was that Elijah "is" come and "has" come (2,000 years ago).
