    The Amazing Christ

Why did you quote Numbers to make your case? It clearly says God is not a human. Jesus was human through and through. He came from the seed of David. David was a human. Genesis 1 talks about seed. It says that seed produces an offspring that is just like it's parent. If David was human, he sure...

    The Amazing Christ

Well, nobody understands it because it can't be understood. But, yes, I do deny it. Based on scriptural evidence alone, apart from any councils, I don't think I'm mistaken. I think the scriptures are clear that Jesus really is the son of God. As I said, I just accept that and add noting to it...

    The Amazing Christ

You don't understand what the words, "we all" mean? I think you do. If "we all" didn't agree on the meaning of words communication would be impossible. I perfectly understand what you said to me. All the words you used have commonly accepted meaning with which I am totally familiar. I am...

    The Amazing Christ

Everything we write to others has to be logical if we want them to understand what we write. Paul "reasoned" to this audiences from the scriptures (Acts 17:2, 18:4, 18:9, and 24:25) The word "reasoned" is the Greek word "dialegomai" which is composed of two words, "dia" (through) and "lego."...

The Oddities of different teachings through organization(s).

Lot of good points there. It reminds me of a story in Acts: Acts 17:10-12, 10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming [thither] went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the...

    The Amazing Christ

Well, that still leaves the question of who the God and Father of God is. Many verses clearly say Jesus had both. What do we do with them? As far as John is concerned, his goal was to show that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), the son of God (John 20:31). Nothing about him wanting to show Jesus...

    The Amazing Christ

There is no shortage of different translations of Titus 2:13. Grammatically it can be taken in more than one way, many that don't make Jesus God. Here's why I favor the latter: You've probably seen in the introduction of many of Paul's letters mention of the God of Jesus. If Titus actually said...

    You Probably Believe This Lie

Things changed after Jesus died, arose, and ascended. Jesus' ministry was to Israel only. When a Canaanite woman asked for healing Jesus told her he was there only for Israel. Of course she was persistant in her request and he later relented and healed her (Matt 15:22-28). When Jesus sent out...

    The Amazing Christ

That all sounds good. Jesus is absolutely the only begotten son of God as the scripture clearly say around 40 times. I'd add that we also are/will be one with God and Jesus. John 17:21, That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us...

    The Amazing Christ

Prepositions are small words with huge implications. "...from whom are all things..." "from" is Greek "ek" which means something that comes out from something else. In this case, "all things come from God." "...through whom are all things..." "through" is Greek "dia" which means something...

    The Amazing Christ

I have read Revelation. Why do you ask? I know that after the events of Revelation we'll finally know what's what. Something to look forward to.

    The Amazing Christ

Yes! One of my favorite verses: 1 Cor 13:12, For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

    The Amazing Christ

Which verses are you talking about? I'll be glad to show how they can be taken in a non-trinity way and thus agree with the clear declarations of both Paul and Jesus that only the Father is God. If, on the other hand, Jesus is God, I would hope you could show how 1 Cor 8:6 and John 17:3 say...

    The Amazing Christ

Odd you'd mention 1 Cor 8:6 where it says quite clearly that only the Father is God. Jesus himself said the same in John 17:3. Those verses are a lot clearer than, "Son is relational with the Father, yet the Father/Son are Eternal." What does that even mean?

    Data On The Trinity

I was just with Alison Smith from the 10th Corps. She taught at our fellowship. Wonderful woman. I was on staff when the 10h Corps was in residence.

    Data On The Trinity

I did allow for the possibility that Matthew 28:19 in our modern Bibles was correct. I said it was not totally clear though. According to textual criticism, that is a fact. Let's assume it is correct. I gave 6 verses that said the Apostles baptized in the name of Jesus only. What do you make of...

    Data On The Trinity

I think it is simply that it takes one to recognize one. Mostly your lucid exegesis of the scriptures, a rarity these days. I met some other guy here from the Way. He was also around in the 70s.

    Data On The Trinity

I'll check out that link. It's beyond all God given reason that something can be 100% one thing as well as 100% percent something diabolically opposed. God and man are about as opposite as it gets. That so many can be talked into accepting such a dichotomy only shows the power of tradition over...
