    The Restrainer

Satan has no chance at all--but that doesn't mean that he won't take a lot of humans with him when he goes to the Lake of Fire. He is filled with rage because he is defeated and he knows his time is short.

    The Restrainer

I guess you were reacting to the line about exalting himself. There is NO record of Jesus ever exalting Himself in the Temple. Why are you continuing to hammer on this?

    The Restrainer

I did but it is a long statement and I don't know what part you are referencing.

    The Restrainer

God has millions of holy angels to serve Him in heaven, He would not need men to build anything for Him there.

    The Restrainer

Jesus does not exalt Himself. God the Father speaks from heaven and exalts Jesus at His baptism, for example. Jesus didn't even speak of "so-called god(s) or objects of worship." Not sure where you are coming from--have you been listening to Satanists? They twist all kinds of Scripture up...

    The Restrainer

There is a Temple pictured in heaven, in the Book of Revelation. The Ark of the Covenant is also pictured there, but Jesus is sitting on the throne next to God the Father

    The Restrainer

God's Law is higher than man's laws. Where in ANY of mankind's law codes are we commanded to love and pray for those who "despitefully use us"?

    The Restrainer

Not sure what you are speaking of?

    The Restrainer

There is no need for the Law when one is truly in Christ. James calls love the "law that sets you free". Where there is love for God and one's fellow man, the idea of murdering, disrespecting one's parents, committing adultery, etc. is repugnant.

No, I wouldn't go THAT far. But, from the point of view of the Israelis who build it, the building itself may be thought of as holy. It's sort of like some Evangelicals think that their church building is "holy ground"--which is ridiculous, because the first Christians met in homes--and later...

    The Restrainer

He did for us what we could never do for ourselves. We are, by the fact of our sin nature, lawbreakers. And the Book of James tells us that if one breaks ANY part of the Law, that person is guilty of breaking it all. The Jerusalem council of Acts 15 states that they should not burden the...

    The Restrainer

You have to understand the original "Abomination of Desolation" spoken of by the prophet, Daniel in Daniel 9:27. The Temple WAS a holy place--it was made holy by the presence of God's glory. Without God's presence, it is just a building.

    The Restrainer

Mmm--NO! Jesus said in John 10:35, that "the Scripture cannot be broken" (and the Law is part of the OT). He also said that He came NOT to end the Law, but to fulfill it. Those who die in their sins (i.e. without faith in Christ) will be convicted under the Law of God.

    The false gospel of grace

I don't think you understand at all what we are saying. Which one of us said that we do not sin? And accusing us of wanting others to "give up hope in Christ" is terribly misguided on your part.

    The false gospel of grace

It is not safe to make a theology out of one line of Scripture. Read the Book of James and say that refraining from sin is not important. Read the epistles of 1,2 and 3 John and try to explain why he speaks about refraining from sin. Yes, he does say that, if we do sin, Jesus would cleanse us...

    The false gospel of grace

Something weird happened with this site's Bible quote mechanism--Your Hebrews 9:14 quote did not come out right.o_O

    The false gospel of grace

I saw an apt quote: "When you get to the point where you see nothing wrong with what God has called sin, your conscience is seared."

    The false gospel of grace

Why? The flesh and the Spirit within us are constantly at war in this world of sin and death. It is not our earthly bodies which are evil--it is what we seek to do with them that can be quite evil. Since evil spirits (demons and fallen angels) do not have bodies to act out evil desires, they...
