Why Old Eschatologies Should Be Updated

A couple of prophetic verses does not a book of prophecy make. Most folks know that there are 5 major books of prophecy and 12 minor ones. If your only argument is Genesis which is no ones list of prophetic books then you know I'm right.

Why Old Eschatologies Should Be Updated

Sorry, but Genesis isn't a book of "prophecy", it's a book of History. Try starting w/ Isaiah.

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

The 144,000 only represent themselves. God's not an idiot, I think he can tell the difference between 144,000 and a number too large to count when John was able to count millions of angels in Rev. 5. Zech. 14 isn't the only chapter that is post mill, Ez. 38 is also post mill. No such thing as...

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

No, the last generation of the church will be literally killed for their beliefs just like the first generation of the church was. Going up and coming back down makes no sense. It may be the church or it may be angels but it certainly won't be pre-trib.

Why Old Eschatologies Should Be Updated

And when Rev. 19:20 happens the millennial reign will begin. Still doubt? Read the last chapter in every book of OT prophecy!

Why Old Eschatologies Should Be Updated

Exactly! When they, as a nation, say that, it will be after Zech. 12:10 is fulfilled along w/ Zech. 13:8-9 and after Armageddon. Israel will "say", "Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord", as they are bringing in everlasting righteousness, ("Christ") into millennial Jerusalem for the...

Why Old Eschatologies Should Be Updated

No, the problem is for some reason folks believe God is a liar and not one to keep his promises. Read the last chapter of every OT prophecy book which is talking about national Israel. They will be the ones who inherit the earth, along w/ some living gentiles, the church has heaven. Even Jesus...

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

No, the 144,000 are just who Jesus says they are, there's no need to add to what the scripture plainly says. Yes, they will be coming to attack a mostly empty camp but they haven't gone to heaven. Zech. 14:4-5 shows where they go.

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

Rev. 20:4 is not speaking of a timing, just showing where they came from. They will be part of the Rev. 7:9 rapture/resurrection.

Why Old Eschatologies Should Be Updated

Per Daniel 12 we know that spiritual and secular knowledge will increase in the latter days yet many of us cling to millennia and centuries old eschatologies even though there is no real modern scriptural basis for them. Beliefs like amill, postmill, preterism and historicism need to be upgraded...

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

There are many events associated w/ the DoL as it is over 1000 yrs. long. The fire event you speak of isn't until sometime after the end of the millennium. The DoL begins w/ the signs of the 6th seal. Acts 2:21 may actually be how the 144,000 come to be.

    Our hope for the Future

    Never heard of him.

    The Bridal Church

Historicism rejects the idea of future fulfillments but before events "became" history they were in the future. The bible has been futurist from the very beginning w/ the first prophecy given (Gen. 3:15) taking 4000 yrs. to be fulfilled. 99% of the NT prophecies are still awaiting fulfillment.

    The Bridal Church

No disrespect intended but I reject all types of historicism. Imo, the apostasy will occur while the church is enduring the GT which will be the the greatest time of persecution and martyrdom of the church on a global scale, dwarfing the holocaust. Rev. 12:11c "...and they loved not their lives...

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

The difference in timing between the dead being resurrected and the living christians will be half the blink of an eye, it's the same event, and we will immediately received our new bodies before we get to heaven. Those martyrs of the 5th seal, imo, are the ones who die during the GT and more...

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

That is part of the prophecy but that part hasn't been fulfilled yet, only the middle part was/is, Peter was just quoting the whole thing to maintain continuance.

    Our hope for the Future

Your question? "How exactly can they finish transgression and put an end to sin?" The same way we do by accepting Christ as their savior except on a national level. When they escort Christ into Jerusalem at the 'real" triumphal entry, they will be 'bringing in" everlasting righteousness, only...

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

With all due respect, that makes no sense.

Them that are left on earth after Armageddon's destruction

Agreed, but I don't think the cross is considered part of the DoL. Do you have a verse that says it is?

    Our hope for the Future

Yes, they will accomplish all those things when they accept Christ on a national level. Dan. 9:24 is talking about Israel's national sin, transgression and iniquity which occurred when they rejected Christ. Where does it say they're given another chance? Zech. 12:10, 13:8-9, Matt. 23:39, the...
