    Christ as the firstborn

I agree. You and Insight should take this to heart. Your "reasoning" and "philosophical hang-ups" should never be allowed to trump the clear teaching of Scripture. Scripture is our foundation and final authority. Therein is presupposition valid. Just because you two can't wrap your brain around...

Vengle, What in the world does any of that have to do with 1 Tim. 3:16 and the way in which the word "justified" is applied to Jesus???

    The Power of I am

What a horrible misuse of God's name. That "sermon" is nothing but a selfish, fleshly, superstitious, self-help lecture. Where is the Holiness of the Name that Joel is abusing? Where is the proclamation of the Gospel of the forgiveness of sin and the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit? These...

    Christ as the firstborn

The first problem here is that you misunderstand what is meant be "justified." This word, like all words, has semantic range. It's exact or intended meaning is determined by our friend "context." The second problem is glaring and constant. A verse like 1 Tim. 3:16 is clear enough in what it...

King James Wordings Found In Early Greek Papyri New Testament Manuscripts

I can assure you that such is not the case. The KJV translators did the best they could with what they had. They did an admirable job. The problem I have is with those who want to say that the KJV is the best or the only translation that should be trusted.

The Occult Connections of Westcott and Hort

I wouldn't hold my breath. He can't give you even one. There is no such evidence.

    BUSH/BLAIR TO BE ARRESTED

When it comes to Biblical exegesis, have either one of you ever heard of the word "context?"

I feel like I'm in a really bad episode of The Twilight Zone. Come on guys, are you serious???

    BUSH/BLAIR TO BE ARRESTED

    Yeah. . . I'm speechless.

    BUSH/BLAIR TO BE ARRESTED

    1. That's a glaring misuse of Scripture. 2. You sound like you're making a threat against a former president. You may be the one to "pay the price" for such foolish bravado. Posting such thoughts on the internet is akin to playing with fire.

    Christ as the firstborn

Actually it says no such thing. Look again. Isa 40:3 A voice cries: "In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. The first part of the verse says, "prepare the way of the LORD." So are we to believe that John was saying "prepare Jesus?"...

    Christ as the firstborn

I really hate to interrupt this little love-fest, but I'm going to continue with my Jesus is Yahweh daily devotional. Isa 40:3 A voice cries: "In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. This prophesy says very clearly that Yahweh was...

Num 21:5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food." Num 21:6 Then the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that...

    Christ as the firstborn

Joe 2:32 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. "LORD" in the preceding verse is a translation of the Hebrew "Yahweh." The Apostle Paul applies this text to Jesus. Jesus is Yahweh. Rom 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus...

    You forgot, Jesus is Yahweh.

Moving on. . . Jesus is Yahweh. . . Zec 12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. Zec 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that...

Insight, If Vengle is convinced by the incoherent, hysterical mess that was your last two posts, there's nothing I can do for him. Wow!

    Christ as the firstborn

Nice try Insight, but no cigar. Christ said that he is the beginning and the end. He did not say that he has a beginning and an end. There's a big difference. Go learn what the former means. It's not difficult.

    Christ as the firstborn

So when Thomas says to Jesus, "My Lord and my God" he is really meant, "My Lord and my God's mediator?" Well, I'm really glad we have you here to decipher all of this code masquerading as plain language. That Scripture twisting moment is just so unbelievable we'll just move on. Here we go. Isa...
