    At Ease

To “walk in the Spirit is to have the Lord Jesus as actual source of all that arises in us of thoughts and feelings. A man’s spirituality is measured by this. What freedom from sin and all besides to fellowship with the Father, and to serve Him! “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus...

    Sanctification

What Christians believe in accordance to they're present understanding on any issue is acceptable, because we assume that what we presently believe is true, and if it isn't God will eventually give us the correct understanding (unless you're not seeking truth, which this is the only way to find...

    Sanctification

Hi, and thanks for your reply! I think maybe you've misunderstood me. My post you quoted indicates that all godly attributes e.g. righteousness, holiness, sanctification, justification are imputed (accredited); but salvation and faith are imparted (implanted, not imparted). I like how you...

    Sanctification

Hi, and always appreciate your replies and comments, because of your use your often use of Word with your posts, which is all we have to indicate what we are trying to mean. I find two uses of the word "sanctify," which one is as you've indicated--by God--who alone sets apart those who are His...

    The Greatest—Now and Forever

It is when it is difficult that God is glorified the most in believers, when they, as much as lies within them at the time, patiently “endure hardness” by contemplating their eternal place in Christ until it passes over. Remember, the infirmities are but lessons of love the Father is managing...

    ”Having Done All—Stand”

Hi and thanks for your comment! I agree, and of course we're discussing professing Christians.

    ”Having Done All—Stand”

What is lacking in the newly-reborn in Christ? In our possessions—nothing; but in our walk—much! In the outset of our faith we are given “all things that pertain to life and godliness” (2Pe 1:3; Rom 8:32; 1Co 3:21), but during this babe-in-Christ stage (which all progress from) there is great...

    Sanctification

Hi and thanks for your input, of which I fully agree! The lifestyle of the one genuinely professing faith will be seen to "walk in the Spirit," and so much the more as He keeps teaches us in His Word (the Spirit being the Author of the Word - 1Co 2:13); and a primary confirmation for others is...

Church sans Tribulation (Reposted and reedited from 2013 for new viewers)

One disadvantage in studying Scripture is the unknowingly over-paralleling the dispensations of God’s administrations concerning God’s people, Israel and God’s children, the Christians. Though much teaching within the prior Covenant typified and “shadowed” the coming “very image” (Heb 10:1)...

    Sanctification

Sanctification Many believers of late are of the notion that “sanctification” is a process involving the completion of one’s salvation, and that one cannot know for certain when, or even if one is or will be saved until this sanctification process is complete! Be encouraged, dearly beloved in...

    Old and New Creations

I believe we'll both be in difference of understanding concerning this subject, and both will continue to keep with what we understand to be God's Word, and as we continue studying it He will continue to reveal it's understanding to us. God bless!

    Old and New Creations

I like how you present why you believe what you believe, but it's my understanding (and all Bible commentators) that the physical body portrayed in this passage is just not the same as the "body that shall be" (1Co 15:37); this one corruptible (destructible); the new body incorruptible...

    Old and New Creations

Hi, and you make good points. My belief is that Christ will forever have the body He had when He told Thomas to touch Him (Luk 24:39). The spirit does not die but continues on, so resurrection has only to do with the body, which is like the one we now have, but incorruptible (indestructible).

    Old and New Creations

Hi and appreciate what you mean, but the newly created body is in reference to the resurrection (which applies only to the body that dies, not the spirit that cannot die). Both the blessed and the damned will be resurrected with indestructible bodies (Jhn 5:29). God bless!

    Old and New Creations

Hi, and appreciate your comment, but it's my understanding that the Lord declared that His new eternal body is flesh and bones, as ye see Me have (Luk 24:39). Blessings!

    Old and New Creations

Hi and thanks for the comment! I would like to share this: "The word here used, δίψυχος dipsuchosoccurs only here and in James 4:8. It means, properly, one who has two souls; then one who is wavering or inconstant. It is applicable to a man who has no settled principles; who is controlled by...

    Old and New Creations

In creation, two elements came into being concerning man’s makeup: body and spirit. In Christianity, the body of man will eventually be recreated, but the spirit of man is already recreated, which manifests the omnipotence of the Spirit of God as its Creator. The first creation was intentionally...

    Vicarious Law-keeping?

Just to summarize my opinion, Jesus’ perfect fulfillment of the Law was not to credit His righteousness in the Law to believers, but to manifest His qualification of being the perfect, spotless sacrifice for us, and to manifest that He is the only One righteous. The righteousness with which...

    Vicarious Law-keeping?

Hi, and always appreciate your comments! Yes I agree, the concept of "works" in the OT was the means of receiving blessing. But in the NT, "works" are a means of manifesting blessing received, which differentiates between Law and Grace. Law accuses--Grace delivers, and the two are equally...
