Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Right. God has no interest in saving Pagans, so no point in trying to use goodness to lead them to repentance. Oh...wait, God does want Pagans to be saved. 1 Tim 2:4, Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. And it is goodness that God uses to lead the...

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Maybe consider a course in diplomacy? As it is, I just see rage. Hard to take very seriously.

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Well, I guess I believe you, but you didn't do a very good job of communicating that.

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Who deserves the most honor? A man with free will, tempted just like you and I, who followed God's will to perfection, including a most horrendous death. would not deserve honor? He had to be YHWH to get that honor? Would God have had a choice to obey Himself or not? Would God have doubted that...

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

If you want some amusing reading, Google (or DuckDuckGo) the reasons that people give for why God waited 4,000 years before "assuming flesh" and coming down to save us. Never would occur to them that the reason it 4,000 years is that it took that long to convince enough free will people to...

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Well, aren't you special! You can tolerate your neighbor even if they disagree with you. Very laudable! How about loving and giving of yourself to your neighbor instead of just getting along just fine. Of course that would only work if I followed your dictate to keep to myself. That sounds like...

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Having the same father makes two sons brothers. It has nothing to do with what those sons believe. If I'm born again (I am) and you're born again (I'm guessing you are), then we are brothers.

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

I think there is a limit as to the allowed size of the posts (10,000 characters?). So there would be no way I could write enough to extol the greatness of Jesus. I'm not sure who you are talking about when you say LORD (all caps). In the OT KJV it means "YHWH" but I've not seen it used that way...

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

Yes. Obviously, by nature we are all guilty thanks to Adam. We all have a sin nature and God certainly knows that. I was talking about individual sins that result from our sin nature. Those God does not know until we do or don't commit the actual act.

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

Abraham about to kill Isaac: Gen 22:12, He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” God didn't know if Abraham would follow through or not until Abraham raised the knife...

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

Tons of stuff just like that in the scriptures. He's not a bully. He's a loving God who would never overstep our free will. He gave the man Jesus the mission and it was up to the man Jesus to follow through or not. Making Jesus God completely obfuscates the incredible effort Jesus, by his free...

    Glad your not my judge.

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

I get it now. Little slow, but I got it. The only difference between our belief is the pre-existance of Jesus. I think it was in God's mind and yo think it was literal. I think I have it right now? :)

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Oh gosh, no. That was just something I've been called the other day. I'm just glad burning "heretics" at the stake is out of fashion!

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

You are right about that! Never saw that before. It seems about half go one way and the other half goes the other way. But it seems strange that the names of those who would not be saved were doomed from the beginning. Why would God get angry at anyone who had no chance of doing the right...

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

"...through whom also he made he worlds." "He" refers to God. "Whom" refers to Jesus. The word "through" is Greek "dia" and it means through or by. Agency is a good way to look at "dia." When and actor goes THROUGH (Greek dia) their agent to get a contract, does the agent become the actor? I...

    Satan was right? Egads!

Your zeal is admirable to be sure, but, like Saul persecuting the Christians, it is highly misdirected. I find it notable that non-Trinitarians seldom, if ever, excoriate Trinitarians with such vitriol as you've exhibited here. I would never say anything to you like that. You are my brother and...

    Satan was right? Egads!

Not all gods are Yahweh. G2316 θεός theos (the-os') n. 1. (properly, in Greek) a god or deity. a supernatural, powerful entity (real or imagined). To the ancient Jews (including the early Christians who were pretty much all Jewish) the word "god" had a different meaning than we tend to have in...

    A Curious Question For Non-Trinitarians

Oh my gosh! You are just hell bent on condemning me no matter what I say, even when I give you a compliment. Stunning! All I can say is thank God for the scriptures: 1Cor 4:4, For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. For the record, I...

    Satan was right? Egads!

I totally agree with you that we can't ignore any scripture. They must all be included and agree. What I don't see is how 1 Cor 8:6 doesn't say that only the Father is God, thus eliminating the son as being God. I understand you don't see it that way. How does it not say that only the Father...
