If the law was abolished at the cross...

i get what ur saying. paul says at one point we are justified by our faith apart from the works of the law. but then just a few lines down he says this does not nullify the law. i dont think you can pick one and ignore the other. IMO paul is saying that through faith we can uphold the law...

If the law was abolished at the cross...

i dont call it cherry picking i call it not ignoring scripture that shows the law is not abolished, or in pauls words nullified. context is irrelevant, it would never change a yes to a no.

If the law was abolished at the cross...

paul seems to suggest the law is very much valid Romans 3:31(NIV) 31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

    Missing from bible

interesting. hard to understand especially when Jesus says He is the way and narrow is tha gate and many will not get through the gate. Jesus makes no mention of hindus being kept out of the gate but He does give some specifics on who will not get through the gate, going by memory but i thing He...

If the law was abolished at the cross...

For the life of me I will never understand why so many translate the phrase "written on our heart" to mean Jesus took the law of his Father and threw it in the garbage. A law that was written in stone. and its interesting how today we use the term "written in stone" to emphasize now and forever...

If the law was abolished at the cross...

i agree with you on that stan, yet i believe few people understand it. not sure i agree on that one as it would mean all other teachings of Jesus would go right out the window the minute He ascended to His Father. if all is accomplished, complete, then why is Jesus coming back, why are we even...

If the law was abolished at the cross...

if the law was abolished or made obsolete then it would make no sense for Jesus to teach over and over keep His commands and do the will of His Father and did Jesus not give a warning to those that would teach others its ok to break the law. Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of...

    Jeremiah

from my understanding we have free will to say no but to rejects a direct command from the All High carries severe judgment. such as when moses hit the rock when he was told to speak to it. Jews today understand this and Jeremiah would have understood it as well. i dont think its the same is...

Is Jesus the Son of God....truly or metaphorically?

i always thought this doctrine was incorporated into Christianity to make the romans adjust to it more easily. the roman/ greek system was similar to and most likely rooted in the babalon/egyptian system which all had trinities at the top. the babalon/egyptian is closely related to the Canaanite...

    Missing from bible

im pretty sure yoga originated from the vedas and not hinduism. but its not important i think its a good idea to empty ones mind from all the garbage in this world that distracts us from following the teachings of Jesus. if its a bad idea, why does Jesus so often go off alone to pray, why does...

but wouldnt the revealed word be more than just going to church and following the same traditions week end and week out. Jesus said the most important commandment, love the Lord with all your heart and all your might. how can one do this with out some kind of experience. it seems a bit difficult...

the experience that paul had, this would be a "mystical" experience would it not? i think many of us have had experiences in our lives, maybe not as grand as what happened to paul but none the less they were things that were of a more spiritual nature, our Lords way of directing us one way or...

    BE SUBJECT TO THE AUTHORITIES

i dont think our Lord likes bad leaders. there are lots of examples, here is one: Isaiah 10:1-3 10 Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, 2 to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their...

    Missing from bible

yes, like i said i get that sorcery, channeling, mediums are forbidden. such things were tightly connected with the canaanite kings who were rebellers of the Lord. they were evil in its purest form IMO. but is that mysticism? many say its about union with the Lord, surrendering yourself to the...

    Missing from bible

i never got why mysticism was such a taboo subject. i was taught that it was painting symbols on the ground and channeling spirits. yet i watched a presentation on Christian mysticism the other day and they guy mostly talked about Jesus, monastic living and the way many of the early church...

tesla was one of the first that recognized these energy fields. he wrote about them and at the time everyone thought he was crazy. 2000 years before him plato wrote about it and people thought he was writing fiction. today we know these fields exist and can see them when viewed through special...
