    House Churches.

I really don't know why I do things like this; I have a hard time leaving stuff like this alone. So I apologize for nit-picking. That is not true. It was used in the Bishop's Bible, the Geneva Bible as well as the Tyndale Bible. This is partially true. The 3rd rule was not to change the...

    The Word

This is a curious statement. The prophets were inspired, but not what they did (which was write their prophecy)? How about the apostles? Were they inspired but not their writings? What or why were they inspired? What's the point of them being inspired if what they said or wrote wasn't?

When Is It Time To Die?

Oh my.... The many things I have to say are like the strawberries in my smoothie trying to climb up my straw! (Pretty poetic, huh? But still pathetic!) It doesn't matter what our physical state is. I don't think anyone would disagree. But what of our mental state? I don't think that...

The difference between Acts 15 and Acts 21

Absolutely 100% correct. James was struggling to grasp what Jesus gave Paul. He even laid a few laws on the gentiles (in Acts 15) that Paul never fully enforced. I love James and his epistle should not be ignored. There is a lot of wisdom in it. But clearly he was mixing law with faith.

    House Churches.

Most of the time they did meet in houses, even though as Rollo Tamasi pointed out the Apostles as well as Jesus also taught in temples and synagogues. Heck, jesus taught on the mount at least once. Marymog pointed out that they didnt have other options. This is true... It was at the time a...

    The Word

Thats an interesting thought, but not sure I agree with this particular thought. Would you care to explain how you came up with this conclusion? That is indeed a good point, and I agree with that.

Thanks... Appearently I do but from what I am told my hair is longer.

    Fruit

I agree. But the fruits of the flesh don't matter. They are wonderful, but plenty of atheists have fruits of the flesh. As good as that is... Well... They don't matter too much unless you believe you don't have to take Christ seriously. As for the fruits of the spirit... Well, I am at a...

I am not sure how to respond, because I don't want to be viewed as HOSTILE Or toxic. Do not get me wrong: I don't believe having true doctrine is the end all to salvation or pleasing God. I do, however, believe it is necessary. And I am growing tired of those who don't understand its...

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

You almost seem to think Paul and Jesus weren't in agreement. I don't see it as a thing were you have to chose between the two. If Jesus sent Paul to preach, then he is coming in Christ's stead.
  11. FHII

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

Now what abou No quotes. Same typo. No word "or". Instead you are talking about "unworthy status" (not doing something unworthily). You also say "such as..." which means you are giving an example of unworthy status. That is not consistent with what you are claiming to have meant in your...

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

DP noted it in his OP as the hightlifht of the reason of the reasoning of the institution of the most holy sacrifice. I'm just wondering if Catholics see any connection between the eurichrist and Heb 10:26.
  13. FHII

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

BOL... I'd like your input on the following statement, as the resident argimentative Catholic: Is there any validity to this? Do Catholics recognize Heb 10:26 as reason for the practice?
  14. FHII

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

I caught yyu in a lie, DP. And you can't even live up to it. Shame.
  15. FHII

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

And those were honest misspellings. We are not writing for refereed journals here. I understand that. I never harp on misspelled words unless its important. I speak plainly and my accusation is clear: I believe it wasn't a typo. I believe you misread the scripture and made wrong...

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

Ok DP... I thought I might have made a mistake. I was hoping we could straighten it out. But your reply just doesn't give me any confidence that such things will happen. So, here we go: Well here was your typo: Ok. You misspelled unworthily. But there is this: The same typo twice...
  17. FHII

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

Ok. Was it really a typo? Am I wrong to think it wasn't a typo? Or was it a case of you misreading? When you used the word "or" did you really mean it as a "this or that" statement or was it an attempt to define "unworthy" status? Is that your story and are you sticking to it?

    The Last Supper !

I have read the scripture, researched the subject, heard mamy sermons on it and have come to the conclusion that it is the truth. When I say "I believe..." its a truthful statement. If there is evidence and pieces to the story I am unaware of I will have a look at them. When someone says, "I...
  19. FHII

    bread and wine or "eucharist"

Yea... You added it. Paul didn't say it. He also didn't say "unworthy".

    The Last Supper !

I care about truth, that's why! I have been in discussion about the passion week recently because I believe my points are the truth . So is truth not that important? As for what days are services to be held.... Any day is fine. Even Sunday... In the Bible they had them on Sundays...
