    Sabbath-Keeping

This argument is invalid...it speaks nothing to keeping the Shabbat being a Christian ordinance. And the Scripture you posted supports my case... Also just because Paul went to the synagauges to preach Christ crucified does not mean he was observing the Shabbat. We as Christians are at...

    Sabbath-Keeping

That entire post is something an antinomian would say...not someone who holds to the perseverance of the saints...you like to keep the two synomonous...hence the straw-man and accusations...

    The feetwashing

The context shows it is of servitude. Jesus came to serve, so too we are servants. The greatest in heaven is the servant of all. (just in case you were wondering, Jesus is the greatest in heaven)! Lol... 12 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he...

Answer: Again you accuse of antinomianism. Something I do not hold to... Classic straw-man you continually erect...

    Sabbath-Keeping

Are you not quickened by the power of the Holy Spirit? Has not the love of God pricked you in the heart leaving His law of love on you? Are you looking to give the enemy a foothold?

    Sabbath-Keeping

No the 10 commandments are apportioned to the 613 mitzvot in the Mosaic covenant with all its ordinances and statutes...(cf the Torah) We as Christians are held to the Royal Law...love. This is the teaching of the Christ and His apostles.

    Sabbath-Keeping

    Yeah this is off topic...

    Sabbath-Keeping

1 Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. - Hebrews 6:1-2...

    Sabbath-Keeping

To do anything immoral, even thinking immoral thoughts is against God. It is unloving.
  10. justaname

    Sabbath-Keeping

Why would a Christian do anything immoral? You speak nonsense or you have a shallow view of love.

The laws in my signature... The Royal Law... Love

    Sabbath-Keeping

Deuteronomy 4:13-14 is stating the 10 commandments are included in the Mosaic covenant... Why would I be concerned with commands engraved in stone, when His laws are engraved on my heart?
  13. justaname

    Sabbath-Keeping

This is false. God's law is love...ordinances came because love was broken through the fall. Jesus restores us back to the original law without statutes or ordinances. May God's Love and understanding rest upon your soul. Shalom!

    God's Law of Love

In respect to the OP I am not answering this post... You can address these questions in the OSAS thread... Shalom!

    The Doctrine of OSAS

The issue again rests with your twisted view of the doctrine...did you get a chance to read this? Not Compatible With Sin. This perseverance does not imply that a man may be living in habitual and purposed sin, and yet be in a justified state, because he who is once justified cannot come into...

    God's Law of Love

DG 1:29, I appreciate the way you keep the Shabbat! I believe you have a biblical perspective in your practice. Although it is not an ordinance commanded for the Christian, just as the Lord's supper is not an ordinance for the Jew, I appreciate your desire to observe it! Shabbat Shalom...

    Sabbath-Keeping

The way it was recorded has no bearing on weather or not the 10 are attached to the 613. You are beginning with a false premise and you don't even see it... Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word from the mouth of God... so then to the rest of the story in the Deuteronomy...

    The Doctrine of OSAS

This is taken from the monergism website...given Robert L Dabney Perseverance Defined. That this perseverance in a state of grace is not innate and necessary, with the new–born nature, but gracious. It does not proceed from anything in the interior state of the regenerate soul, but wholly from...

    The Doctrine of OSAS

I agree God is sovereign, yet we must be careful because the Bible does not teach fatalism... We do make choices, and we are culpable for our decisions not God. With that said God knows every choice we have and will ever make, with every one of our choices falling within His plan for His glory.

    Sabbath-Keeping

Again the 10 are contained in the 613...they never were separated in the way you claim... Christians are not held to the 10 any more than they are held to the 613... Perhaps you should reread when the Israelites undertook the Covenant administered through Moses...the ten were apportioned to...
