    The Holy Spirit ?

I don't have such a friend as you mentioned and i didn't understand the rest of what you said, so...

Revelation Chapter 12, the Real Revelation

There is a whole bunch of characters in Rev 12. Some of them are symbolic and I don't mind hearing ideas of who they are backed with reason and scripture... But some of those characters are Satam, Michael and Jesus. I mean... The chapter plainly says who they are.

Revelation Chapter 12, the Real Revelation

Well, that dragon was cast out of heaven. I don't think it was Harod cast out of heaven anymore than I believe it was Harod who tempted Jesus 3 times. I will say that Satan works theough men and women. But I don't think Rev 12 is pointing to Harod as the dragon. I thibk the dragon in Rev 12...

Revelation Chapter 12, the Real Revelation

Well, I don't disagree with all you say, but it seems pretty clear that the chapter identifies the dragon as Satan.

    freewill is bogus

The book deals with the past, present and future from where John was standing. Yes, Jesus died only once. Of course... But it was only manifested once. It was decided before the foundation of the world. The foundation was before Adam. Oh really? Then why did it say from the foundation of...

    The Holy Spirit ?

It speaks to me.... Guess I just got ears to hear it.

    The Holy Spirit ?

The Bible is the words which speaks. ... Even to this day. Unless you don't think they are relevant today. You didn't really comment on what I said. It came off as more or less dismissing what I said.

    The Holy Spirit ?

In regards to 2 Cor 3, Paul was specifically speaking of the 10 Commandments and the rest of the law. If you want to apply that to all scripture that's fine. Its supposed to kill you spiritually and we are born again through the spirit. Romans 8 points this out by saying If Christ be in you...

    freewill is bogus

The Bible I understand... But your one sentence lost me.

    freewill is bogus

Revelation 13:8 KJV And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 1 Peter 1:19-20 KJV But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: [20] Who verily...

    freewill is bogus

God sent the solution to the problem Adam and Eve created before they made a choice. Christ was slain before the foundation of the world. God didn't wait for them to make that choice. And no... He didn't just foreknow. He declared it from the beginning.

    Does it work both ways?

I absolutely agree. If I am correct to understand the Christian Baker story, it goes like this: A Christian Baker was asked to make a cake for a homosexual marriage in which the cake clearly pointed out that it was so. The baker refused based on the belief that God is against gay marriage...

    freewill is bogus

I agree with DP. people believe they have free will because they really do have dilemmas, choices to make along with problems, pain and victories. But God has shown he can step in at anytime. He said he declared (not just knew, but declared) the end from the beginning. We are told he chose...

    A Common Error

I agree with you because many quote that beautiful verse, but not in context. You go a few verses before that and you will see that whosoever shall call on his named shall be saved. But there are rhetirical questions after that which suggest you must hear him and you can't hear him without a...

Sola Scriptura - does this foundation make you a heretic

The Word was God. So the term, "Word of God" would mean "God of God". Sorry... It wasn't meant to be taken that seriously.
  16. FHII

Sola Scriptura - does this foundation make you a heretic

So the word "Word" is his name? Ok. So how does the name "Word" tell us his nature? Or do the words he spoke and the words written tell us his nature? When you open that Bible and read it, is Jesus talking to you? Its not meant to be him, its meant to be a communication between us and him...

Sola Scriptura - does this foundation make you a heretic

Is the term "Word of God" redundant?

    Does it work both ways?

    Like I said, "good point".

    Does it work both ways?

Good point although I theologically disagree with the Christian baker.

Sola Scriptura - does this foundation make you a heretic

My friend... I cannot endorse this. Jesusband God were called the Word. A word by conventional definition is not a person. A name or a title or a metaphor? Perhaps. Likewise, God is love. A feeling, attribute or emtion is not a person. A spirit, perhaps. Let me demonstrate something...
