    What is a Christian?

A Christian (believer) is anyone who God has foreknown and predestined to be conformed the image of His Son (Rom. 8:29,30) I hear people all the time say we need to be like the First Century Church but yet I see no one selling all they have..?? The church we need to be is one that is following...

    MATTHEW 3:11 BAPTISMS

In the Great Commission Jesus says to go to all nations, make disciples, and baptize them. This includes all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, to refuse water baptism is basically refusing Jesus. Gentile believers are grafted into Israel (Romans 11:11-24). Those who have faith are the sons...

    MATTHEW 3:11 BAPTISMS

Demons are fallen angels, of course they believe, they have seen heaven and have no reason to not believe. Their fate is sealed and repentance is not offered to fallen angels.

    MATTHEW 3:11 BAPTISMS

In the Mark 10:35 passage when Jesus mentions the baptism He will experience, He is simply saying that on the cross He will be immersed/submerged into suffering. Baptism defined is simply, submerge/immerse/dip. Baptized with fire deals with judgment. Right after Matthew 3:11, verse 12 gives the...

    MATTHEW 3:11 BAPTISMS

I In this case Jesus was simply saying He was going to be submerged/immersed into suffering. Baptism does not always mean with water, as with the case with fire.

    MATTHEW 3:11 BAPTISMS

You would have to define which baptism we are talking about.

    MATTHEW 3:11 BAPTISMS

Mary, the context of this verse deals with judgment not Acts 2. Let's view verse 12... Matthew 3:12 - He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire.

    MATTHEW 3:11 BAPTISMS

Bible also mentions these... -People baptized into Moses (1 Cor. 10:1-4) -Baptism of the "Cross" ..."You don't know what you are asking," Jesus said. "Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?" - Mark 10:38

How do you hear the "still, small, voice"?

Honestly, the best thing to give them is the Bible - God's very Word and keep your children in prayer. No human author can compare to the Author of Scripture. The Holy Spirit will work in ways that cannot be mistaken. I'm not saying Christian books can't be helpful, I've read some great ones...

    1599 Geneva Bible!!!

I mainly read from the KJV, I prefer these "archaic" translations. I have modern translations too but KJV is easier for me to remember and it just flows better for me. Also, it helps me with my vocabulary. I've heard the notes are good so I would like to check those out as well.

The Devil's Lies Must be Exposed - Do Not Be Deceived

“In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.“ 1 John 3:10 Only two types of people in this world. Sons of God or of the devil.

    Limited Atonement VS Universal Atonement

No one said it is forced, those who are convicted of their sins repent and joyfully come to the Lord.

    Limited Atonement VS Universal Atonement

Of course it is a gift, a gift isn't something we earn or else it wouldn't be a gift. You basically agreed with me that salvation isn't by works because if I'm not mistaken these verses are on salvation ;)

    Limited Atonement VS Universal Atonement

True faith is a fruitful faith. Works (obedience/fruit) are evidences of living faith.
