    Calvinism?

Why be a Christian then if God will save you in the end regardless?

    Calvinism?

John 14:6 means nothing then? Jesus is the only way to the Father. Why is it OK for God to override their "free will" of rejecting Him to save them in the end?

    Calvinism?

So every single soul will be saved in the end? How can that be?! Wouldn't that be against their free will

    Calvinism?

You know, you keep telling me that I am judging when I am simply stating what I believe, but it really seems like you are the one who is judging... Yes, God is merciful, to whoever He chooses to be

    Calvinism?

"The gospel is not salvation for everyone but salvation for those who believe, for everyone else it's a death sentence." - Paul Washer

    Calvinism?

Do you believe in Universal Atonement (everyone will be saved)? Limited atonement is misleading in its name. There is nothing limited about the power of Jesus' death. What it is stating is that Jesus died for His Sheep, the elect. There is no salvation outside of Jesus, His death secured the...

    Calvinism?

So it's OK for God to elect a few people from time to time? Was it God's conviction that brought you to repentance and understanding or your own self? And if God didn't first convict you would you have ever come to Jesus on your own? And did God violate your will by convicting you? Absolutely...

    Calvinism?

But what is outragous is how Calvinists believe that man has no free will in the matter. @Naomi25 This statement here shows that you are misunderstanding the concept. Man has a will, a free agency, we can make choices and think, etc, we are not free in the fact that we are "slaves of sin". the...

    Calvinism?

You can't escape it, it's there in Scripture from the mouth of God Himself

    Calvinism?

There is no way getting around it. God's election is sure. He chooses to show mercy to some, and He chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen.

    Calvinism?

It is not about Calvin, people like to make it out to be all about him but it's not. People will use anything they can to shift the focus off the sovereignty of God. Psalm 103:19 - The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.

    Calvinism?

You know what, I won't give you the run-around answer of "I've read it before, etc." I'll actually read it tonight and meditate on it. I have no problem at all with holding my beliefs up to be tested.

    Calvinism?

Mankind sees the glory of God everyday through His amazing creation. Man does not desire God while dead in the flesh, all of creation testifies to God's presence and glory and yet everyday it is ignored. The Gospel is powerful and men everywhere are commanded to repent. At the same time the...

    Calvinism?

The Word of God is a homerun every time. The Word is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword. I do not believe it is a wrong judgment when you're stating a fact. I will always stand by the fact that man is evil and all our "good" works are nothing but rags to God.
  17. LC627

    Calvinism?

All of mankind is fallen, that is a fact. We all have a sin nature and are dead in sin. (Eph. 2:1) RBI = Run Batted In, and every baseball player would know what an RBI is because they know the game and train. Believers need to train themselves in the Word and know the Word By the way, go Red Sox

    Calvinism?

I was just asking a question and apparently you can't/won't answer. You can avoid it by calling me a "judgmental non-spiritual judge", that's fine. I guess you're just too high and mighty for me to be on your level ;)

    Calvinism?

Man has a lower righteousness that God honors in our fallen condition? If it is our righteousness then wouldn't that be a merit we could boast in?

    Calvinism?

She acknowledged Jesus as Lord and knew her hope was in Him alone and that He alone could help, Amen and glory to that!
