propitiation by His blood, through faith

Romans 8:7 - the mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. A hostile mind won't ever be humble on its own

propitiation by His blood, through faith

Nancy, I believe we touched base on this a few months ago. The topic of "free will" is misunderstood. Mankind is clearly enslaved to sin and that is our very nature. Man has a will, but it is enslaved, which means it is not free. We can make choices; no one is a robot but, in our free agency we...

propitiation by His blood, through faith

Man has a free agency, we can make choices and you're right we are not robots, but our nature is one of sin and we will always choose a life of sin unless first convicted. The will of man is not free if we are slaves to sin. We are free do to what is in our nature, and as fallen beings that is...

propitiation by His blood, through faith

we are all equally dead in sin, Romans 1 tells us that man is without excuse for not knowing God. All of mankind sees the work of God. Man in his natural state is an enemy of God and would never freely submit unless convicted by the Holy Spirit.

propitiation by His blood, through faith

Amen, not a truth many like to admit. It really rocks a person to their core to even think about it. We as humans love to be in control. Eph. 1:5 - He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will, to the praise of His glorious grace that He...

Is It Christian To celebrate Birthdays?

Good little read. Whatever we do as Believers let us be "fully convinced in our own minds"

Is It Christian To celebrate Birthdays?

There is nothing wrong with celebrating the day God brought you in this world. God does want us to celebrate each day of life though. Even though these verses do not have the word "birthday" I believe they will give a foundation to your question. Colossians 2:16 - Therefore let no one pass...

    what's the point anymore

Prayer is a must. I've also found myself looking back at the KJV if the translation I'm using seems a little loose. Having several translations does help because there are something's that just go right over my head reading it in KJV lol

    what's the point anymore

I find the KJV easier to remember Scripture from than other translations. I like the KJV, NKJV and HCSB translation

@Mister Michael I love Jesus and Jesus loves you, I won't go to sleep until we are through laboring through whatever we need to. I'm glad you're starting to feel better

    what's the point anymore

Hebrews 11:6 -- "Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him." Romans 10:9,10 - If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you...

    what's the point anymore

Michael, it is good that you are seeking. The greatest blessing in this life is Jesus, not anything else. No amount of money, material items, pleasure, nothing comes close to the love of Christ. It is not always an easy walk through this life and trust me, Jesus knows all about that. Hebrews...

    what's the point anymore

Paul was referring to relating to people, the culture then was hard and very difficult between the Gentiles and Jews. I find it ironic in a way that Saul (Paul) was a hardcore Pharisee and God had him be a minister to the Gentiles. Even Peter struggled with the Jew/Gentile thing. The story of...

    what's the point anymore

@Mister Michael, Colossians 1:15-20 is a great place to see the supremacy of Christ. Colossians 1:16,17: For everything was created by Him (Jesus), in Heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whethher thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created...
