Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

Maybe NOT. You’re adding to scripture something that has purposely been left out. He left the soul out BECAUSE that one is up to you. Just like I've been saying all along. And just like He left SPIRIT out of another list. MAT 10:28 'And be not afraid of those killing the body, and are not...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

Saying you could resist the ‘grace’ was an error, and a partially deleted sentence. Yes fasting is also called afflicting the soul in the OT. I also believe that if we don’t humble ourselves God can sovereignly do so after the counsel of His will.

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

You have not understood what I have said; You do not understand the difference between RIGHTEOUSNESS not of your work versus RIGHTEOUSNESS which is by your WORKing out your SOUL's salvation AFTER receiving the salvation of your SPIRIT which Jesus did ALL the work for. RIGHTEOUSNESS IMPUTED...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

The only thing “perfected” is the old spirit which upon rebirth has become the Spirit of Christ in you though Justification. Now you have to “work out your (SOUL’S) salvation with Fear and trembling”. Progressing to perfection. “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

You are saved by the power of God when your spirit is born again. You soul is sanctified when you obey the convicting holy spirit of Christ IN you,. When you do, then you have humbled yourself which allows God to give you the GRACE which is the power to achieve what God's truth demands. And...

Is God Magnanimous? - (as opposed to tyrannical)

Not sure on some of these bro. Answer; 1 Yes, I think he "is known for showing kindness or forgiveness." 2 ROM 12:19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." 3 A "hothead"? Don't know of a per se...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

That’s not my observation. The church wouldn’t be as fractured as it is if it was as simple as that. :My2c: Your "spirit" (seed) is what was saved by an instantaneous NEW BIRTH....OSAS. This gets you INTO heaven. IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS. You never did anything good enough to earn it and can't...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

I was at a pastor's conference 20 years ago when Bishop Carlton Pearson made the national headlines after being a rising star in the Pentecostal/Charismatic realm. At the conference a pastor asked how they should handle his "heretical theology revelation, which he called Inclusion" (a 'twist'...

Didn't really want to post it....trying to be more "gentle" than I was being treated. ;) But, stupid is as stupid does.

Forrest Gump had a better 'saying' for what you just 'did'. MAT 7:1 "Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Probably should have just "EVALUATED" me. Oh, wait, you can't do...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

JAM 5:14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16...

Is the Logos meaningful, or meaningless? - Depends on your view of Logos.

NOTE; "Word WAS God" NOT 'Word IS God'. NOTE; "Word BECAME flesh" NOT 'Word REMAINED flesh'. Your thehology might as well be saying 'the WORM was God' and 'the WORM' became BUTTERFLY. Therefore 'the BUTTERFLY is a WORM. That's what 'my eyes' are really 'seeing' you believing. Put that empty...

In that verse, HE is not saying "I AM GOD", nor is He saying "YOU MUST BELIEVE I AM GOD, or you can't be saved." JOH 8:26 I have much to say about you and much to judge; but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him." 27 They did not understand that he...

Might also show us a verse that says 'BELIEVING HE WAS GOD', is even a required belief for salvation. I know what most of the churches say. But where's 'the meat' of scripture saying so?

Don't deny it at all. I just don't think it was His body that made Him deity, I believe it was His spirit that made him a "son of God" and his body made Him a "son of man" and His soul made him a "son of David".

I'm disagree and here's why; because God said; "LET US make man IN OUR IMAGE and AFTER OUR LIKENESS." 'Image' equals substance and the substance of GOD was spirit. 'Likeness' equals character. God wanted to represent His invisible spirit image and His visible likeness character to his...

Certainly doesn't lead anywhere for those who have not eyes to see, that's for sure. Yes you certainly do seem to 'GO' that way with every post. Enjoy your trip and we'll know one day who was right and who was wrong.
