    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Paul is talking about judging sin. He says that God judges sin through our consciences and is his judge. This has nothing to do with knowing if we are without sin. If our conscience is clear we have either seared it or we are blameless. We know by the intimacy we have with Christ.

I think that he means alive in the Spirit - Spirit baptized and in Theosis. If indeed they have the Spirit within, then they should be showing the fruit. If the fruit is not there then they have not been baptized. It is a test for them.

Agreed. It was so for me. I believe that He gives a taste of what we can be like when His power is there fully. I think that many think that they are *there*, they have reached the point of salvation that they read about and are taught mistakenly. When the 'pricks' of the Spirit come, they...

A spiritual change yes. An awakening to the truth of the gospel. We are now spiritual receptive to God. It caused a huge change for me after seeking. No we learn but we cannot do it. It is because we are trying to do it in the flesh. For the cPTSD'ed it is especially hard. Agreed. If we...

At last I can get back to this one. Sorry it took so long but it stayed with me. What you are describing, is neurological damage, but according to all of the studying I have done since Christmas with my brothers family and there abusive behaviour towards me shocked me into the reality that I...

But that is saying Paul sees himself as a child.

I don't see that in scripture till Pentecost, the end point of the sanctification process. The vessel is cleansed at that point ie tongues of fire.

Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” 1 Cor 11:12 He is comparing the past to now, from child to man; knowing in part - which must be past to keep to the analogy, today - knowing fully. I don't know why the wording has shifted. Have not noticed this...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

I see the process starting when we first come to Christ, having heard His call and become disciples. At this stage, we need to go through trials so that we can understand what flesh is and what He requires of us to walk in the Spirit. We can see examples of this both in the OT and the New in the...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

You are seeing through eyes of human reasoning otherwise known as the flesh, that will do anything to stay alive and not go to the cross, regarding when spiritual rebirth takes place. You are the same as the disciples before Pentecost, only knowing the law. Paul warned of such as you who...

This one thing I do This is the concern, as it is the sole business, of my life. Forgetting those things which are behind My conduct is not regulated nor influenced by that of others; I consider my calling, my Master, my work, and my end. If others think they have time to loiter or trifle, I...

The Heart and the Philippians The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked and who can know it? Jer 17:9 For as he thinks in his heart so is he Prov: 7 For out of the heart proceeds evil thoughts Matt 15:19 It is the heart which is the seat of the moral life not the...

Not met personally but I believe that the very early bishops were chosen on those terms. Then again I have not been looking for any.

The verse says if we sin, not when we sin which it would if that was the expectation. We can be restored but as Hebrews tells us it is not easy and man cannot do it, only God so serious a matter it is. And it can take quite some time.

"Finite Understanding: Humans have finite minds, and our understanding is limited by factors such as language, cultural differences, and personal biases. " This is only correct for the carnal mind. The spirit of man is revealed truth by the Spirit. "A false teacher teaching error can spread...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Yes. There is the need to know how not to slip back into seeing things from human eyes rather than spiritual, and all of the guiles of the enemy and keep them in mind which is the hardest. But that longing for more closeness with God has been satisfied. He has filled the hole as it were...
