    Symbolism

Oh, and the irony--anti-Christ! You need to read the scriptures again...and be corrected: “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. 45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is...

    Symbolism

Oh the hypocrisy! I interpret publicly, and you accuse me (evidenced here regularly by the shear volume of your comments and actions) of interpreting privately, not privately but also publicly.

    PRESS ON (No Camping!)

The "Christian Life" is not a "Camping Permit" to take up residence in this fallen world, in this desert--for forty years, or a lifetime--as it were. We were not born into this "valley of the shadow of death", this "valley of decision" to linger or get comfortable. When we find out that this...

    CONTEXT is King?

Indeed, each point is huge. Merging into eternity is one way of looking at it--but a worldly way--and that is a big issue here. But it is only big because it is big to us...because the world seems to linger and terry on. Not so with God. There is no merge except by the grace of God He allots us...

    CONTEXT is King?

I like it...but why does it seem like we are carving off opposite sides of a gyro meat? :Broadly: Indeed God has done all that and more, but you present an opportunity, so I am going to take it: The passage "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void"...

    CONTEXT is King?

Well, yes, the greatest force or power in any scriptural scenario is the Spirit. Which is possibly right or wrong to that degree. We/history has seen both in excess. But it is also important to not stifle the Spirit, for every word from God comes by the Spirit.

    CONTEXT is King?

Yeah, on my phone...that was a typo...I fixed it. And yes, the context issue is often a dodge, and lowers the issue to be between people instead of something from God. It can be helpful, but can also be a huge mistake.

    Spiritual Gifts?

All who are born again of the spirit of God have spiritual gifts, big and small (serving the purpose of God), and also some who are not born again. The caution here, is that physical miracles and gifts are only examples of spiritual miracles and gifts...and since Pentecost we have moved on to...

    CONTEXT is King?

That is the point I meant to convey. Context issues among men may be true or not. But for one to insist on one context or another, is either a mistake or from God, but never for men to decide. In most man-made context issues God gives the wise and the foolish equal opportunity to show their...

    CONTEXT is King?

Indeed--and more! And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” John 1:51

    A Life Marked By Purpose

Indeed, I concur with all that. But I was referring rather to the times and the slumber of many well intended Christians, thinking that this could be the generation expected to fulfill all--but perhaps only halfheartedly. But this time it's different, we really are very close. But yes, Paul...

    CONTEXT is King?

Not a decoy, but rather the context that may come first, is likely and rightly, elementary, as unto children. Which can and often does show a greater principle or truth, or even speaks of a completely different event...as in the Psalms, where David's suffering was not at all about him being...

    CONTEXT is King?

You weighed in on and addressed the context issue, and I responded to that. I wasn't referring to you(--unless it fits), but to the problem in general of people misrepresenting God by claiming this or that context based on what they merely believe when God's thoughts as the Author of the...

    Symbolism

Wow! Some people apparently just have a thing against symbolism--and yet the Bible is full of it. I hope everyone is seeing just who is against God's method of communication.

    Symbolism

I didn't say that either. You misunderstood. Nor has the church closed the revealing of scripture that was before sealed, but it is in fact--written within the canon--that it would be "finished" before the sounding of the seventh angel.
  16. ScottA

    Symbolism

Are you so deaf? I didn't say that. I said--just as it is also written--that a portion of what is written, was sealed only to be revealed just before the sounding of the seventh angel.
  17. ScottA

    Symbolism

No...Scripture is not judge, God whom is spirit is Judge...whereas His word can be, and is, often misunderstood. As for me being hard pressed not to share what I have received from God--I have written four books--and I am here daily doing that very thing. Which you are well aware of (or blind)...

    CONTEXT is King?

Well, I don't want to make an argument out of it, but clothes do not make a king. I do get your point, but what I was saying, is that in this world, the King of Kings in us, does not actually make us a king, but does make us kings rather by ambassadorship, or else we have not lost our life. A...

    A Life Marked By Purpose

This is a good reminder, one that comes so far from the beginning of these times of the gentiles (these other nations, not first chosen, not Israel of old) that many have become accustom and perhaps even satisfied with a continual "Christian life" as if there were no purpose other than such a...

    CONTEXT is King?

Well...that is not a proper kingship. I mean of yourself. The crowns we receive at birth are not at birth of the flesh, but of the Spirit, which are Christ's crowns, not our own in the way it would seem you have presented it--we are not independent agents. So, if we are kings among men, we are...
