    Why I'm Premil

@Marilyn C Yes, I strongly agree there; it's a question of keeping in mind the nature of the church, and the headship of Christ, and 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 12.2).

    Why I'm Premil

@Marilyn C Good indeed to remember the difference between, Jews, Gentiles and the church of God, as per 1 Corinthians 10.32.

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

@The Learner Thanks for your many 'likes' on this thread; you can see why I thought it would evoke a lot of comment; feel free to comment further.

Medical marijuana...it's becoming accepted by old and young?

@Heart2Soul So when you said it didn't go well with your doc the other day, did you guys have a disagreement or something about the benefits of marijuana, maybe?

    "The word was a god"?

The Biblical witness to the Deity of Christ is glorious indeed.

Medical marijuana...it's becoming accepted by old and young?

@VictoryinJesus Maybe you weren't inhaling it properly? (or maybe this is not the best question to ask you, since you otherwise are very experienced). I guess how it's received does make a difference, anyway...

Medical marijuana...it's becoming accepted by old and young?

@Nancy Sounds then like you yourself really do feel good about its benefits; and I guess for you the best way to receive the mj is through vaping: so do you find that inhaling it through vaping has proved to be the most effective way, at least, as far as receiving the hits are concerned?

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

Hi @Marilyn C Actually a lot of Christians do find that faith based tattoos - such as a Bible verse - make effective witness tools in conversation with ppl. All the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed with whom I have spoken seem to have received them as witness tools, anyway. It would follow...

    Why I'm Premil

@Marilyn C I guess "Laodicean" means allowing one's heart to grown lukewarm to the things of God, right? It has been said that the first generation of believers have the Scriptures in their hearts, the second generation may have them in their heads, the third generation may have them on the...

The Bride of Christ / The Body of Christ

@Heart2Soul Interesting that in the OT the emphasis is on Israel as the wife of Jehovah. In the NT, the emphasis is on the church as the bride of Christ.

    Mirror Test

Hi @VictoryinJesus My wife doesn't consider herself dressed to go out without putting on her face. And for this a mirror is needed, right? Similarly, the habit of looking at the mirror of God's Word is a wholesome, daily habit.............

John 3.16: Simple Gospel truth and profound theology

Hi @sea_echols ; it's very worthwhile considering some of the great, doctrinal issues in Scripture; this is another thread that I started..........

    Weird question to ask.

@Pearl PS: I guess it could be said that some of the Come Dancing outfits - which you've talked about in the past - are verging on fantasy; but they still have a certain grace about them, right?

    Weird question to ask.

@Pearl It's not founded in reality in any case; since mermaids are mythological creatures.....

    Weird question to ask.

@sea_echols I suppose an eel has a similar tail. You must be a strong swimmer, anyway....

    Your favorite Psalm?

    Hi @sea_echols FYI..........thread I started.............

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

@Ronald Nolette Thanks for your recent participation. I think it frankly needs to be remembered also that today it's not unusually from conservative, traditionally minded people that the strong demand for tattoo services comes. It would be hard to maintain that overwhelming demand for tattoo...

    Non-understanding

@Ronald Nolette In the end the question to ask is, "What saith the Scripture?" right? :)
  20. F

    Difference between Catholic and Protestant.

@Taken The point is to measure the professing church by the Word of God, rather than the other way round...........
