In chapter 14 paul is saying that he that speaks in an unknown tongue, which is a tongue, not known to anyone, speaks not onto men but unto God. You should try speaking to God in unknown tongues sometime.

Yes, you are right. Whether or not you speak an unknown tongues or various known languages that are supernaturally gifted. Either one is evidence that you have the Holy Ghost. Having none of them is no evidence that you have the Holy Ghost.

Correct, none of them spoke in an unknown tongue. They spoke in various known languages, which is one of the nine gifts of the Holy Ghost. Here is a video that helps you to understand that. This has no bearing on chapter 14 when paul explains unknown tongues. Lesson 7- Page 1
