"Jesus conquered the Beast in 70 AD" video

Honestly David, I don't believe that you're following the scriptures. I think you're trying to force the scriptures to fit your personal theology. But I still love ya brother! We can have different doctrinal understandings and still be brothers, right?

"Jesus conquered the Beast in 70 AD" video

My understanding is that a "generation" can mean 20 years to millenniums based on the context.

Sorry brother. I'm a bit slow. Can you connect the dots for me, please?

"Jesus conquered the Beast in 70 AD" video

I believe Jesus was speaking to and about the Apostles when he said "YOU will be persecuted..." I'm inferring that you don't agree with that belief, correct?

"Jesus conquered the Beast in 70 AD" video

It seems that the "this generation" statement made by Jesus is the most persuasive verse to support the belief that Jesus returned in 70 AD.

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

Is it accurate to say that water baptism is one's way of publicly attesting that they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and that they are repenting from sin and doing their best to faithfully follow their Lord's commandments, particularly the commandments to love our Heavenly Father as well...

"Jesus conquered the Beast in 70 AD" video

Who is "you" in Jesus's statement? Is it the apostles who were standing directly in front of Jesus or is "you" about Christians 2,000 years in the future?

    Universalism is a dangerous doctrine

Infernalists believe that the lost are tortured in the Lake of Fire FOREVER!

"Jesus conquered the Beast in 70 AD" video

Is it possible that Jesus returned in 70 AD and will return again in the future?

Matthew 24:30 may have a significant mistranslation

I'm relatively new to preterism and I'm not necessarily convinced one way or another. But, there are some scriptures that compel me to look closer. Take Hebrews 9:28. This second coming doesn't sound like the end-all of everything but rather a little road trip on behalf of some believers. So...

Matthew 24:30 may have a significant mistranslation

    Interestingly, the YLT uses "world" instead of "land". Matthew 24:30 YLT and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;

    Universalism is a dangerous doctrine

Interestingly, brimstone is a refining agent. Why would a refining agent be used in the LOF?

    Universalism is a dangerous doctrine

I believe that Jesus will refine and restore all things, including Satan, prior to giving the Kingdom to God.

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

The Bible says that no one can follow (believe) Jesus unless God permits them to do so. When it happens, I believe it could be described as a spiritual baptism.

Why do some churches require a process to be baptized?

    Thanks in advance!

    Universalism is a dangerous doctrine

Pre-assigned? I think God has laid out a path for all people for his purposes. So yes, I supposed God has a curriculum specially designed for each person.
