@Brakelite @amadeus @Azim @Pearl @Rita @Ritajanice @APAK @MA2444 @faithfulness @GTW27 Hi there, We seem to be experiencing a technical glitch which stops folks being alerted to posts. It seems we have exceeded the number of members that can be referenced at once. Please reply if you are...

A Word for the church (four actually) concerning worship.

No - we have given Him permission to indwell us and work out His righteousness through us.

A Word for the church (four actually) concerning worship.

Maybe the issue is that some think we need to put God on display experientially. Yet John 17 says they will see him by our communal unity. Returning to first love would be a better way to display Him by how we look after the least.

A Word for the church (four actually) concerning worship.

-Testimony -Thanksgiving - Praise - Worship - Glory - Stand To me this is a more complete progression, it is however unlikely to be adopted. This is because many institutions see praise and worship as a means of 'sanctifying the space' so the delivery of the Word which follows is less...

    Christ Died for All

Are you including those who spend time in the lake of fire ??? Are you suggesting there is a second chance for those who reject Jesus in this life ???

Welcome NAAN, Given the history of constant argument around the fundamentals of faith on this forum we wanted to move on with a common agreement on the essential foundation of Christianity agreed by the Church Fathers early in the life of the church. We could have chosen the Apostles Creed but...

Yes of course - but the colours and lighting are exceptional. Jump on a train and have a look... To me it isn't true to scripture either, but we now have some dialogue going.

Rejecting Christ, or rejecting "Christianity"? (the church) ???

Yes... Thanks for quoting that. The scripture supports my position perfectly. Faith comes from hearing the Word of Christ, those who are given ears to hear - hear.

Rejecting Christ, or rejecting "Christianity"? (the church) ???

I never do... Quoted as is... If you read further down in the same chapter it is about salvation. God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for...

Rejecting Christ, or rejecting "Christianity"? (the church) ???

What seems to be behind this dialogue is the denial of the right for God to choose who will be saved before they are born - yet Paul makes it quite clear in Romans 9 Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, 11 though they were not yet born and had done nothing either...

    Christ Died for All

Yet Scripture says... Luke 6:32 “If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. ... and the Greek text uses the word 'Agape' which usually indicates God's Love. My take is that Love must be coupled with obedience and surrender to...

    Christ Died for All

There seems to be a contradiction in this sentence... You can't love God without being known by Him. 'I never knew you' then, would indicate no relationship and therefore no love. Works that survive the fire are motivated by Him not us. This then is coming out of relationship i.e. God in us.

    "The word was a god"?

The following passage emphasises the unique relationship between the Father and the Son. First off 'Father' and 'Son' are human terms that don't adequately capture the unique relationship between the two. His way's are past finding out... including how the Godhead works. John 14 5 Thomas...
