Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

So you'll agree to surrender, as long as you receive something in return for such surrender. That's not a surrender, that's a business deal!

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Yes, Rom.8:9! We are none of His!

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

This is where the mistranslation comes in. Believe and recieve is not how NT saving Faith or pisteuo is fulfilled. There are many things that must happen in the salvation journey. They must happen and happen in the correct order. .

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

At the beginning, the scriptures are not ours yet! You can't make illegitimate claims on Christ and His word until you receive the Spirit of Christ.

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Sorry, has to be in Christ Himself. At the beginning of the salvation journey, we don't have the Spirit of Christ yet. So Christ ( His blood) , His word and the promises in His word are not ours to claim yet.

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

No , Abraham's Pisteuo was in God Himself, not His promises. It even mentions Abraham's Faith in the Vines Greek dictionary defining pisteuo. His promises are the " occasion" for Faith but not the object of Faith.

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Faithing in His blood won't work! Has to be in Christ Himself. A surrender isn't a surrender if your expecting something in return. That would be a business deal or vending machine kind of Faith.

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

You said, " we place our Faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross." What Jesus did on the cross is the " occasion" for Faith, but can't be the "object" of Faith. The object of Faith, or the application of Faith has to be in Christ Himself, a real living person. We do that by faithing, or...

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Well describe your understanding of how Faith is applied at the very beginning of the salvation journey.

    What would you do different?

Ya, not even close. The gift is the calling to Christ by the Father, not the response to the call. The reason it's a gift is not everyone is called out. The Greek is very specific. The Father calls a small group out from among a larger group of those who are not called out. That's the gift...

    Two versions of the Trinity

    That answered my question!

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Let me ask you, how do you come to they determination that Faith applied doesn't have work, courage, and effort associated with it. And we're just talking about the application of Faith, pisteuo in the Greek, a verb! Not Grace!

    What would you do different?

Repentance simply means to turn. It's a mental turning in our mind from our way to His way. Nobody comes to Christ unless the Father calls them, repentance is turning into the direction of the caller. It can be done over and over again as long as the Father continues to call. Repentance on it's...

No your way off. Your not really interested are you? Your content in your believing, right?

    Two versions of the Trinity

There is a few mandatory, first day of school truths that must be understood to even begin to understand God and His ways. One of them, is that God has a completely different framework of understanding than we or the world does. God's framework of understanding is paradoxical in comparison to...

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Thanks Jbf, Believing in what Christ did and promises along with water baptism, can't result in the Spirit of Christ being sealed into us. That's not NT saving Faith!

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

Could you explain how one specifically places their Faith in Jesus to receive His Spirit?

The works of Abraham is faith

No such thing as "believing"! You've stumbled over the mistranslation! Good luck!

The works of Abraham is faith

There you are! A work of Faith is what you said! What is that specific"work of Faith"?

The works of Abraham is faith

No love for you? If I gave you A hundred thousand dollars you would see that as an act of love, right. What I'm giving you is worth more than all the money in the world. You and I, were not perfectors, we need to be perfected.
