Can one be saved while they are all alone?

No. The problem is....You say...”it is the lord that saves”. you have not answered the most important question. HOW DOES HE DO IT?

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

    Haven’t heard that one before.

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

Yes he did. Yes he did. You left out repentance. Paul even repented. Rom 10 says nothing of repentance so I hope you arent implying that Rom 10:9,10 are all that is required? Why did you stop at verse 10? What did Paul say in vs 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall...

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

No response needed? Haha. I don’t respond to people on this board so that I can convince the writer of anything. We all have our minds made up. I respond so others, who like to read but not participate, can see our exchange and hopefully learn something by it. You and the others are just a...

    Please explain this.

I’m gonna show it to you but you won’t see it. Your mind is made up. We are saved by obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ? Yes? Mk 16:15,16; Rom 1:16, 10:16; 1 Cor 4:15, 15:1,2; Gal 1:6-8; Eph 1:13; 2 thes 1:8, 2:13,14; 2 Tim 1:10 This gospel, that saves, had a beginning. Before Jesus...

    Then why bring it up?

    Please explain this.

He did talk about it. On many occasions, ie. John 3. The last words he gave before ascending were all about salvation.

    Please explain this.

You are wrong. Jesus said the word salvation twice. I don’t know why. I believe Jesus had his self in mind when he said...today salvation is come into this house. But, He had power on earth to forgive sins. Mk 2:10

Neither David nor Abraham had to believe that Jesus had been raised from the dead. Does that negate your obligation to do so?

We are not under the Old Testament covenant.

this to me sounds more reasonable but it seems different then what you said. 2 Corinthians 7:9-11 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow...

I will study what you ask if you are sincere but.... Acts 17:30. God commands all men everywhere to repent. The word repentance is not even in the book of John. Why is that?

    Please explain this.

Salvation comes when our sins are removed and at that point we are justified or (just if I had not sinned). That’s what justified means. That happens AFTER one is obedient to Christ through repentance and baptism acts 2:38; 3:19. There sins are remitted, washed away, forgiven. They are...

    Please explain this.

Of course it’s a requirement. It’s commanded and a part of the great commission Lk 24:47, acts 2:38; 3:19; 26:20 Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Why command repentance if we have no choice in the matter? We can obey...
  16. C

    Please explain this.

I thought we had determined that repentance was needed for Salvation? I don’t see any repentance in acts 10. Was Cornelius baptized? Why was he baptized? We have to let the Bible explain that. In Peters first sermon he commanded believers to repent and be baptized for remission of sins but...

    Please explain this.

So then this persons salvation is NOT by faith alone because repentance is required. If repentance is being left out by all these people teaching faith only; what else is being left out?

    Please explain this.

What does he mean by the word “believe” in John 3? Is it just sitting on your couch listening to Charles Stanley, believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, say some prayer and BINGO! I’m saved! No, again if people would continue to read. The last verse in the NASB says.... John 3:36 He who...

    Please explain this.

You are EXACTLY right. So why does everybody post passages about salvation through faith, claim that it means faith alone, and leave out all the other passages that explain how other elements are required? I don’t get it. Ps 119:160. The SUM of thy word is truth....ASV

    Please explain this.

In a way I would agree with that but I would need more explanation as to what you actually mean. Would you mind if I tell others in my post that justbyfaith teaches that we are saved ONLY after we are baptized in water? Because that’s how I read this.
