Can one be saved while they are all alone?

I’m not trying to convince you. I just pray that there are many people reading this who don’t want to participate but want to learn something and see our exchange. This is why I post. It’s not for you. You are just a tool to highlight all the false teaching that’s prevalent on this board. I...

    Please explain this.

I just got lectured by someone who says that I don’t consider people’s point of view enough. So, let me walk everybody through my process... When I read this it takes me all of about 5 secs to consider if this is reasonable or not because then I have like 4 verses pop into my mind that...

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

They didn’t have bikes back then but I think I read in Acts 12 where a man was riding down the road on a camel, heard some birds singing, had a warm emotional feeling overcome him, prayed to God for forgiveness and was pronounced saved on that road to Antioch. I believe it was around vs 13 or 14

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

Yes, but there are things God can’t do. One of them is lie. And if he has left us the word that says one must obey the gospel for salvation then he would be lying if he accepted anything else. And the gospel message includes hearing believing repenting and being baptized for remission of...

    The GREAT commission

The great commission is about as elementary as it gets. Preach the gospel He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. Then teach them to obey all that Christ commanded. Doesn’t get anymore simple than that..

    The GREAT commission

Hey Rita.. Here is the response I get from Scott over and over.... “You are not keeping up with the fine points of your own topic, and don't know what you are talking about.” And I’m the bad guy who is disrespectful and fails to consider another point of view. He never breaks down and studies...

    The GREAT commission

You are right. I started this thread to show what all the great commission has to say. I believe that what I presented was the truth. I welcome anybody to either agree and add to it or to disagree and break it down as to why they do not agree. What is wrong with me thinking I’m right? Are...

    Please explain this.

Can’t read your mind and I don’t know what you are implying by that passage.

    The GREAT commission

You have posted 2 passages in this thread. One being John 3:5 which says we are born of water. To not give scripture reference on a regular basis is pretty lame. You can be misrepresenting what is being said and we won’t know it. Do you not care about those who come on here to read and not...

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

Acts 1:8 was a promise made ONLY to the apostles. It was NOT a promise made for all people. A part of that promise was based on them waiting in Jerusalem; are you saying we need to go to Jerusalem and wait to receive HS power? If not why not? It was a part of the promise you say is for us today.

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

You haven’t posted any. All I have to do is post 1 pet 3:21 and you will still deny.

    Please explain this.

Was Abraham a righteous man only in Gen 15? Is Gen 15:6 the point at which Abraham became righteous? God had already told him to leave UR and he did it. Plus throughout chapter 12 and 13 we see Abraham building altars and calling on the name of the lord longgg before Gen 15. I believe many...

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

I want everybody to study the host of passages that Ezra supplied with his answer. I know it will be hard to study them all but please try.

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

We do know why. Acst 2:38. It is FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS. You just answered the question of whether baptism is necessary for salvation. You aren’t alive until you come out of the water. But according to everybody on this board you are alive before you even go into the water, so why even do...

    The GREAT commission

Was Rahab told to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ? No! But you were. Rahab was told to hang a flag out her window. Is that what we all need to do? Let’s go all hang flags out our window so we too can be saved like Rahab. One thing I know.....if Rahab would have been told to hear, believe...

    The GREAT commission

I guess I’ll have to post it... Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. God didn’t think you could be saved before hearing the message. He specifically told Cornelius that it would BE THE MESSAGE that saved him. So, how many words do you...

    The GREAT commission

When were those in Ephesus “sealed with the HS”? The text says....AFTER they believed. So, when did that happen? Let’s look at the conversion account of the Ephesians.. Acts 19:1-6 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to...

    The GREAT commission

You are kidding me, right? I just showed you where the only people that could go to the temple and pray were GODS PEOPLE. THE PUBLICAN WAS ALREADY A CHILD OF GOD. Paul in the book of acts is almost killed because they thought he took gentiles into the temple, and you say...”it’s totally...

    The GREAT commission

Of course it is.. In acts 8 Philip preached “Jesus” to the Eunuch. Did he preach the gospel? Yes or no? I know you won’t answer that. You have too much pride. The very next verse the Eunuch says...here is water, what hinders me from being baptized. Now where did he get that idea? From the...

    The GREAT commission

I’m not letting you get away with that. Answer the question! Could a gentile go into the temple and pray? Yes or no. You won’t answer because you know it will highlight the fact that you made an error. When the Temple was consecrated this is what God said... 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 If my...
