Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #2

I'll so do briefly-- Both LDS Christians and Creedal Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are 3 divine different persons. Christ doesn't pray to Himself, talking about himself with "This is my beloved Son", etc. Three different people. Together they are 1 God. You can't honor...

Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #2

Again, actual "Mormon" here. The linked website isn't very accurate, instead getting mixed up in language differences / general inaccuracies between Creedal and LDS Christians. If you want me to explain further, I can.

Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #2

You're talking to a "Mormon". Yes, "Mormons" believe that Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God. It was already asked, post #48.

Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #2

His stances here are classic JW. "Mormons" (aka member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) firmly believe that Jesus Christ is the 100% divine Son of God. He, the Father, and the Spirit are three different persons in one God.

Are you saved by your ability to pass a theology test?

Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #2

That doesn't really help state what IS believed. For example, if you believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are 3 different persons? No. Now, how are these three persons 3 God? It is a difficult question for folks to answer, and one not simply spelled out in the Bible alone. And...

    Did Charismatic movement injure Church?

There's not really a difference there: both LDS Christians and Creedal Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit have always existed. The Christ was physically born of virgin Mary, and that the Father is His Father. Quoting the Athanasian Creed: "...God, of the Substance [Essence] of...

    Did Charismatic movement injure Church?

Critics of both Creedal Christains and LDS Christians hostilely use the "tritheism" label, rather than understanding a different view of one God. Honestly, the accusation gets really old. I am glad I could clarify for you that LDS Christians do indeed believe in the divinity of Christ :)

Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #1

Hi BroRando, welcome to the forum. I talk it from this and other posts of yours that you’re a JW. Hello. We have other JW posters on here too. I myself just wanted to say hello. I’ve thoroughly studied JW and disagree. But still indeed can be friendly!

    Did Charismatic movement injure Church?

Actual “Mormon” here. LDS Christians and Creedal Christians both believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are three different divine persons in one God. For example, Christ isn’t talking to Himself while He’s praying, He’s talking to the Father. Christ was divine before being born of virgin...

    Did Charismatic movement injure Church?

Actually "Mormons" believe that Jesus Christ was the 100% divine Son of God before being born of Mary, during His mortal ministry, and after.

Should We Be Forcing Education On Children?

You have three different things going on here: 1) should everyone get an education? Yes, learning is important and you need education to function as a responsible mature adult. 2) Should everyone go to college? No! Speaking as a person whom worked at a college for many years, particularly...

    The 144,000 in Revelation 7

The phrase "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" doesn't mean it replaces the Old Testament or New Testament. Rather, those are all three different testimonies of Christ, singing His praises and teaching of Him.

    The 144,000 in Revelation 7

Actual "Mormon" here-- Yes, I've read & studied Galatians 1, many many times. I find it to be one of the most faith confirming chapters of scripture. (Stopping now to prevent further thread de-rail).

    Do we need prophets, today?

    Totally disagree with that interpretation.
  16. J

    Do we need prophets, today?

If that were true, why does scripture not say "there shall be no more prophets? Instead it says be ware of false prophets (implying that there are also good ones) and the book of Revelation does indeed tell of prophets in the last days?

    Do we need prophets, today?

A prophet ( a real one) is a servant of God, to help guide His people are at 100% necessary. Their primary role is guides to help people understand Him and better come to Him. They don't replace Him at all, nor do they seek fancy spotlights, nor is their primary role that of a future-tellers...

    FAITH OR RELIGION?

Ok. I've just seen lots of folks whom criticize ANY outward display of faith (like a believers baptism) as being "that's religion-- it stands in the way of a real relationship with Christ" or "oh, going to church and fellowship with believers is only religion- it stands in the way of real...

    FAITH OR RELIGION?

But again, a person whom undertakes outward rituals could also have a relationship with Christ -- ideally every believer's baptism should be that, for example. So that's not really an versus thing either. You could say "things doing out of love of Christ versus not".
