Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

There is no such thing as a Gentile Christian. In the New Testament you are either a... 1.) Jew 2.) Gentile 3.) Christian Nobody is two of something just as you are not a boy girl. And that's how the Scriptures are written. So you are writing a nice little story about something but it's not...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

The Scripture declares “all authority” was given to him in heaven and on the earth (Matthew 28:18). He ascended to the right hand of God and assumed joint rulership of the cosmos as the Lord. First Corinthians 15:24-28 describes this present dynamic relationship. “Then cometh the end, when he...

You either have the spirit or you don't

No all do not have the spirit and Romans tells us that... Romans 8:8-9 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

It's like I'm talking to a wall. Romans 9 through 11 Paul stops writing about the Christian doctrine and takes a couple of chapters to speak to the Jews. All other places where Paul writes we do not read anything like Gentiles who believe in Jesus are all Christians. When I point out that we...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

There are problems with Hebrews 1:8 if you think Jesus will be sitting on his throne as the big guy because the Bible says the Son will be subject to the Father even in the future “When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him [God] who put all things...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

The renowned Greek scholar and Trinitarian, A. T. Robertson noted that the Greek word theos (God) could be understood as a vocative, “O God” or as a nominative, as in the phrase “God is thy throne” or “Thy throne is God.” He wrote: “Either [translation] makes good sense.” While it is true that...

    Do animals have souls?

    I agree

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

I gave you the way the word is used in many places in the same KJV and you said no that is not true. But again, there's no teaching on this subject and one would think if it was really important and if it was what you needed to understand to be saved. Then there would have been whole chapters...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Another easy question: The Resurrected Messiah.

    Do animals have souls?

I thought anything that breathes has a soul since that's what a soul is breath life.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Some Biblical Unitarians believe that Psalm 45:6 and Hebrews 1:8 are calling the Messiah “god.” They recognize that this king is not being called “God” with a capital “G” but they think the Messiah is being called “god” and they translate both Psalm 45:6 and Hebrews 1:8 as having “god” with a...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

The following translation also does not use mighty God... Isaiah 9:6 Brenton Septuagint Translation For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder: and his name is called the Messenger of great counsel: for I will bring peace upon the princes, and...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

God sits on nobody's throne. Everybody else including Jesus sits on God's throne. Now you can call it twisting all day long but God does not take second place to nobody. He does not bow and He does not humble Himself. And trust me nobody can spit on God or nail Him to a tree.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

We come right back to the beginning again. The New Testament does not use this language that you use. There's no place in the Epistles that have words like this saying all Jews belong to Christ or that Gentiles are Christian. You make these statements but the Scriptures do not.

Do you really want my take on Hebrews 1:8?

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Just throwing anything up on the wall and hoping something will stick. Let me know if you want to read a paper I put together on this subject.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

We are not changing the wording of Scripture. We are looking at different translations. God does not sit on Davids throne. God does not sit on anyone's throne. Only His own.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Romans 9:24 says Jews only, but also of the Gentiles. It does not say Gentile Christians. I already mentioned Romans 11 is when Paul stopped talking about Christians and gives a couple of chapters about Israel and he tells you that in the beginning of the chapter. And so there's no patently...

Where did Jesus go when he died?

Nice job in writing this so accurately.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

The phrase in Isaiah 9:6 that most English versions translate as “Mighty God” is el gibbor in the Hebrew. That very phrase, in the plural form, is used in Ezekiel 32:21 of “heroes” and mighty men. The NIV translates the phrase in Ezekiel as “mighty leaders,” and the KJV and NASB translate it as...
