Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

Well, as far as I'm aware, 'harpazo' is used in 1 Thess 4:17 when speaking of this 'rapture'...rather than just 'rapture'...so...a physial snatching away IS in view here. The Greek word does mean: to seize, catch up, snatch away, which, to my way of thinking does not speak to a joyous rapture...

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

Except, yes he does, if we consider the passage as a whole...as we rightly should, as he's speaking to the same issue essentially. Before the clear Rapture reference in 15:50-56, Paul gives us a very undoubtable timeframe of when this will happen: But each in his own order: Christ the...

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

That would be my understanding of scripture: that the Rapture happenes "at the end".

Trump to help Jewish People Build their 3RD. Temple??

See....here's my HUGE problem with what you're pushing. You're saying that "Rapture = worthy to escape suffering". Ipso facto....if you are a 'real Christian' you will escape suffering by the Rapture. That is both a horrendous insult, and, quite frankly, just a joke in the face of reality, to...

    POLL: Was Jesus PERFECT?

Hi Bobby. I voted yes, and I'll give you scripture why: Christ, while fully man, was still fully God, and we see in scripture that God is perfect: You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. -Matthew 5:48 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so...

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

@n2thelight I would also just point out that I am in no way supporting Dispensationalism by my support of the Rapture. I am, in point of fact, an Amillennialist. But I do see the bible teaching a "Rapture"....when Christ returns, that single, end-time event, when he returns to judge the world...

    Resurrection

I think you're going to need to flesh out (pardon the pun) your thoughts a bit more before any real comments can be made. I doubt anyone would object to the idea that our flesh, once dead, goes back to dust, as we see that happening biologically. I suppose the real question would be; what does...

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will...

This is just a little bit rich coming from you.

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

So, if I am to understand you correctly, you are stating that in our walk with Christ, we can experience spiritual rapture....an experience of delight, rather than of physical removal. Is that correct? Because, while I don't disagree that indeed, as we follow Christ we experience joy beyond...

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

I very hesitantly approach you bbyrd, hoping we do not repeat past mistakes. But, I just wanted to ask you...what DO you see happening in the future? You don't believe in the rapture, or Christ's return. Do you see an end to things at all? How do you see such things?

    Favorite hymns?

Are we talking old school hymns here? I think these would be two of my all time favorites! Be Thou My Vision Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art Thou my best Thought, by day or by night Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light Be Thou my...

    Prophecy vs. Apocalyptic

"Symbol: A mark or character used as a conventional representation of an object, function, or process; or - A thing that represents or stands for something else" So, how is symbolism...the using of symbols to represent something, not appropriate? Imagery is also relevent, as it's described as...

    Prophecy vs. Apocalyptic

So....there is no mysterious or symbolic language. At all? You willing to put money on that?Especially since you then go on to talk about the symbols and how to interpret them... You don't know the 'details' but know what it's talking about? The problem with saying people like me use a 'false...

    Prophecy vs. Apocalyptic

I have no idea if it will be in 'one day' or not, only that it is a single...if I can use this word...event. In other words, when Christ comes back, we see these events happen...boom, boom, boom. We don't seem them play out with time spans inbetween while people go about living their lives on...

    Prophecy vs. Apocalyptic

Hate? Hate doesn't come into it at all. You mistake my motives completely. The emotion that drives me is a passion for the Word of God. For his truth and what His Word really says! Do I think that truth is worth pursuing? Do I think that truth is something that needs to be stood up for and...

    Dreams

99% of them, neither do I! But...I think if you've ever had one that is spiritually charged, it's not the kind of thing you forget or shrug off as a 'weird dream'. There is a very real presence that, in my case, could still be felt even upon waking. It's only happened perhaps 3 times in my life...
