Pay to Pray eRosary from the Vatican

Theological discussions don't have to get nasty. We can strive to understand God and each other while being pleasant and acting in a Christ-like fashion. I myself have some major disagreements about the Real Presence in Catholic theology. But I can (and I feel should) strive to understand...

Pay to Pray eRosary from the Vatican

It's not a literal-literal change that we observe with our senses, but more a metaphysical one. How that exactly works is a mystery ("mystery" here being used in the theological sense of the word). (Ussual I"m not Catholic disclaimer)

Frankly: I don't believe your claim that you were not deliberately trying to be offensive.

And that is a fairly reasoned belief. But Catholics don't see that outward celebration as "adding" to Christ's work. (Again, I'm not Catholic and totally welcome a knowledgable Catholic to help out here).

That's about remaining with Christ, which all Christians do believe. Yes, there's different outward gestures, but the inward purpose is the same.

Your question was deliberately offensive and mocking. That's just being a clanging cymbal, not fighting for Truth or Christ.

Dude: are you TRYING to be the biggest most offensive jerk possible? How it that remotely edifying or Christ-like? Do you feel it glorifies God to mock other people?

The part I bolded is very true. I personally, do very much believe that the Lord's Supper is symbolic. But adding a bunch of snark (the "nonsense" quote) isn't going to bring anyone closer to Christ.

FYI: MaryMog's entire purpose of being on here is to try to convince people to become Catholic Christians. That missionary and "defend the Gospel" as she believes it are the only thing she does.

Individuals whom believe that the Lord's Supper is literal are Christians. Individuals whom believe that the Lord's Supper is symbolic are Christians. Theology is very important. But it's not what makes a person a disciple of Christ (aka a Christian).

I didn't say that at all. A Christian is a disciple of Christ. It's a matter of heart. Not a matter of your ability to pass a theological test whether about passage X is supposed be be interpreted way A B or C.

Two points here: -- To my understanding, Catholic Christians do not believe that just the act of consuming the Eucharist saves a person at all. In fact, they are quite strict how the only people who should be partaking in Communion are person whom have already come to Christ, have a...

Ok, that comic is hilarious. On a more serious note, I do agree that it's very important to listen and understand what another people believes (from THIER perspective, not your outsider one), before any assessment another person says they agree/disagree/whatever. Talk with another person, not...

I do not think I had do so and such was certainly not my intention. But if I had done so, I apologize.

*shrug* You're going to do what you do, obviously. I (also obviously) passionately disagree with your methods/beliefs with that. But further discussion about it is clearly not going any where.

But do you intend to obey the spirit of the rules? I'm gathering no. Hence my question about the Second Great Commandment: Do you likewise welcome non-Protestants coming to your Protestant-only group with zero intention of obeying or respecting the (spirit of) rules/community there?

You didn't answer my question: Do you likewise welcome non-Protestants coming to your Protestant-only group with zero intention of obeying or respecting the rules/community there?

Hey, if you want to go to a community/website with zero intention of obeying or respecting to the rules of that community/website, that's you. But again: the Second Great Commandment. Do you likewise welcome non-Protestants coming to your Protestant-only group with zero intention of obeying or...

I was just letting you know what this board does not meet your definition of "Biblical" and non-Protestants are regarded as Christians as well as Protestants. That's forum rules.
