What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

Isn't there a verse somewhere that says what dwells in me is the fullness of God? And I know I'm not God.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

I cannot say I'm made up of blood so that's a person and I'm made up of skin so that's a person. I cannot be a man and a horse at the same time.

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

Where in these verses does it say God became a man? Philippians 2:7-8 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

Would you happen to have a verse that says Jesus said the Holy Spirit is God? Or even a verse from anyone in the New Testament that says the Holy Spirit is God. Here's some data on the Holy Spirit... The words “HOLY SPIRIT” in the Bible are primarily used in two very different ways: One way is...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

In the new covenant, we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, who entered into heaven itself to appear in the holy of holies, the sacred chamber of the heart of God's glorious presence for us. Jesus Christ is the promised seed and faithful High Priest, who fulfilled...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

The "Word" is the wisdom, plan or purpose of God and the Word became flesh as Jesus Christ. Thus, Jesus Christ was the Word in the flesh, which is shortened to the Word for ease of speaking. Scripture is also the Word in writing. Everyone agrees that the Word in writing had a beginning. So did...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

There is no reason to take all Christians to heaven. Galatians 6:16) *** All will be on the new earth or in heaven. But if you're going to talk about a split. Then I need a verse to go along with that. I'm big with "in context." Verse 15 is saying there's one new nature and whoever walks in...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

The words "thrones, powers, rulers and authorities, are not my opinion. They are really there right in the verse.

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

May I ask for a verse anywhere in the New Testament where it says God became a man?

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

All the things "created" in that list are not the earth and trees and sky that God created in the beginning, but rather the "thrones, powers, rulers and authorities, which are the positions that Christ needed to run his Church.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

I did not ask why Jesus came as a man. I asked why Jesus had to come as God.

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

I believe you are mixing the resurrection of Israel and the Christian one all together. As for who will be in heaven. We all might be on the new earth with Christ since that is where he will be with Israel. This I don't care about. What I do care about is those who are in Christ and I believe...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

I like this... "because in connection with him were created all things"

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

I must not be as smart as you because I am totally lost at the point you may have been trying to make. Can you help me out here? What part of what I write about the resurrected Christ do I need help in understanding?

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

Aren't you now reading into scripture words that are not there? *** No I am not. And in this post I provide more data. Everything on that list in verse 16 deals with the powers that Christ set up to run his Church. There's nothing there about trees and oceans. ... when those who were chosen to...
