Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

As a postscript, John MacArthur, a pastor and well received teacher of the word, admitted candidly during a broadcasted study that he'd pastored for many years, written many deeply theological studies, and developed a scholarly understanding of scripture long before certain aspects of scripture...

You wouldn't know it from the degree of presumption. ‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:28,NKJV, I am by no means a legalist and we as Christians are by no means "under the law" of Moses, however the Law...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

you still think in terms of right or wrong and suggest that you know what I believe. Are you a prophet too, or just very young in Christ? I haven't said anything specifically about you, but posed a simple and reasonable question regarding the possibility of your being overly sensitive to an...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Sorry, but my "assumptions" and " conclusions are all firmly rooted in scripture. Are yours?

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

I obviously can't speak for anyone else, but I'm pretty sure that I mentioned my former wife's tattoos. She actually told me that at least with her, getting tattoos was like an addiction. She got one, then desired another, and then another. I tried to persuade her not to get any more (and there...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Reproof is a kindness, a loving thing to do. A rebuke is done in anger, but even so: "Let the righteous strike me; It shall be a kindness. And let him rebuke me; It shall be as excellent oil; Let my head not refuse it." I'd prefer not to trample people's feelings, but not at the expense of...

Maybe you're just being oversensitive. I love my beer with my steak, my wine with my pasta, but I don't wear a cross while I drink them in public and I wouldn't dream of drinking some alcohol in church fellowship. You can label me a hypocrite, but love should constrain our behavior for the sake...

How many have ever changed their minds...

It's a blessed thing to be used by God and an awesome thing to be a vessel for His Spirit. At some point though, I became fearful of loosing myself. I don't think it's the Lord's intention to make us all alike, but to renew us in His image. We were created for good works, to walk in them...

How many have ever changed their minds...

Who said anything about adding to the word? There's one book that I consistently skip over when reading scripture (though I've read it a number of times), it does absolutely nothing to build my theology and I never saw Christ in it, but it's there and there it will stay (and some people see what...

I'm curious about the "pure language" to come.

Thank you for your post, but the Holy Spirit in you made you write almost the opposite of what you meant to. You may not believe His word but He does. Don't worry the Lord has promised you some signs (at least 3). Have a blessed day.

God choose Trump to Save the USA from Destruction.

But as of this date, there is no one world government, and no such leader.

I've seen where it was in the book, the acts of the apostles, but why then is it also mentioned in Paul's instructions to the church? I think it's a pretty useless gift in the context of the church, but it was allowed in a limited way, requiring an interpreter and limiting the numbers of those...

God choose Trump to Save the USA from Destruction.

I'm pretty sure that the organization is the system of this world (under the sway of the evil one) which includes politics, commerce, industry, the various militaries, the educational system, legal system, etc. I don't see any single organization in scripture that you could point to. For some...

God choose Trump to Save the USA from Destruction.

I thought he might be the anti -Christ at first, but I thought that about Ronald Reagan as well. The whole idea of a great apostasy suggests that a popular and religious man will rise to power by drawing people to himself with a personal charisma and the answers people are seeking outside of...

How many have ever changed their minds...

I'm really trying not to be insulting (though sarcasm has been a lifelong entertainment) but why do you equate the gifts of ministry such as healing and prophesy with the sign gifts? The sign gifts are for unbelievers, the spiritual gifts are for the ministry of the church. The ministry gifts...

How many have ever changed their minds...

Jesus was performing signs and wonders as signs of who He is as described beforehand by the Old testament scripture. I'm not God, so there's no reason for me to walk on water (as cool as that might be), but I love closing the mouthes of unclean spirits trying to interfere with speech in the...

Who is she? I haven't said anyone was a tare, but you keep defending this mystery person, so why do you think she needs defending?

Sometimes I think I'm swimming in the deep end, but find out I'm just flopping around in the kiddie pool.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

I don't have a specific problem with tattoos. I enjoyed doing artwork as a kid and still occasionally draw or paint. I find some tattoos aesthetically pleasing, others just kook like a freak show. I never wanted one on my body, but not for religious reasons. I've always hung artwork on my walls...
