How many have ever changed their minds...

What's wrong with ramen noodles and ice cream? I've been told Ramen noodles aren't healthy, but an occasional fast and lazy meal of noodles is wonderful. I've never liked milk, but I always loved ice cream. If there were an ice cream of the word, I'd eat it until I was spiritually bloated.

How many have ever changed their minds...

I don't know who initiated the doctrine that the gifts of the spirit disappeared when "that which is perfect has come" and defined that which is perfect as the Canon of scripture as defined today. Was it the council of Nicea? I don't know. I've only read one complete book about church history...

How many have ever changed their minds...

Prophesy was a large part of the revelation of God and the content of scripture, but most people seem to have missed the calling and purpose of the prophets. It was never strictly revelation, but the application of the word to real life situations in a call to repentance. The signs and wonders...

How many have ever changed their minds...

Absolutely! I bought into the whole pretribulation rapture hoax, even after I learned the dubious source of the doctrine. The Holy Spirit showed me verse after verse in my "devotional" reading through the book from front to back that knocked the foundations out from under that doctrine and...

If Children come from Hell, how did they get there to begin with?

No where in scripture does it say that children came from hell, no where. The rest of your post is meaningless and built on isogesis ( reading and interpreting into scripture) rather than exegesis (reading and interpreting from scripture). It's what theologians call poor hermeneutics. If you...

If Jesus was the Son of God before he became man...

That's called a reading comprehension problem.

    Worshipping God in Song

The first church I attended regularly after believing and receiving His Spirit was a small congregation that called themselves Community Baptist Church (they've since changed their name to distance themselves from a radical assembly that grabbed headlines by protesting at funerals, an incredibly...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I was in the middle of a lengthy post, trying to explain how I've been saddled with teaching tasks repeatedly since elementary school when a web page for some new (and strange) social media platform popped up on my device with an offer to join and wiped out my post. The same thing happened last...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

A powerful mind is a gift from God and I won't apologize for it. "The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limitations" Albert Einstein

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I didn't mean to ignore your question. The only book I've read with Prince in the title was written by Machiavelli and it is by no stretch of the imagination a Christian book. I have a rather short attention span whenever someone denies what scripture plainly says. My eyes kind of glaze over and...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I get that, you're really not all that difficult to understand. In these days it's better to be unbelieving and well informed than to be believing but ignorant (those saints are at high risk and always have been.)

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I'm quite convinced that the Lord withholds some things from us until we are able to "bear them." That truth is a tough one to bear now and in this age, but one you needed to know for your ministry, your calling, and in some ways it's a bitter pill to swallow. How could divine judgment be...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I'm sorry, I thought that you'd seen Him. No worries, there's a good chance that you'll see Him within the next seven years, hopefully sooner than later.

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

Well, if you say so, then it must be true. Forgive my use of logic, reason, and sound exegetical practice to communicate what the Holy Spirit teaches me.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

No, I thought that the question wasn't relevant to me until a moment ago. I just had a recollection of the one time that I actually asked somebody about a tattoo that he carried on his arm. I was working a field service job and riding a PATH train with some technicians from PATH. A somewhat...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I haven't read the account for a while, but as I recall, Solomon's throne had 6 steps leading up to it. I was under the impression that 6 represented the completion of creation while 7 represented divine perfection. The scripture says a righteous man falls 7 times and the conventional...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

We have tremendous liberty in Christ, but the apostle Paul advises us caution in the use of that liberty so that we aren't misinterpreted and become the cause of a brother or sister stumbling. I believe that if what we are doing is not a defilement of our conscience, that we're standing on solid...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I've heard this before as well, but according to scripture, that which is perfect has not yet come, but will with Christ's return and the institution of the millennial kingdom. (The interpretation of the relevant scripture is debatable, but I haven't seen anything close to perfection in this...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

You're probably right about the latter, but I still hear the expression "tramp stamp" used, most recently in a TV show called "Last man standing" which has been on for a number of seasons and is still airing.

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

That makes more sense, especially in light of the book of Hebrews and our entry into that rest promised to God's people.
