How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

LDS likewise believe in ONE God. Three persons, ONE God. The difference than the Athanasian view is in the *how* these three person are one God. LDS it's unity, Athanasian it's homoousios. Non-canonicalstatement, ripped out of it's context here. If you want me to elaborate on this context I...

Thank you. Sorry if I missed the bigger picture there. I do very much enjoy your posts.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Great post. I do think I'll comment on this part though-- I am a believer that God's Truth doesn't need men's arguments to defend it. I rarely go to "defend" any fact. However, I am OCD truthful and a stickler about getting the facts straight (and that includes good sources). So for...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

I think I can guess where you are misunderstanding thing-- First some big-picture background: LDS are NOT Calvinists. We believe VERY firmly in free will and a person to have a choice. God (being all knowing) knows what choices we are going to make, but each person makes there own choices...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

CoreIssue, I have zero reason to lie to you. I have repeatedly spent precious time explaining things to you, and offered to talk about anything you're willing to listen to. You have repeatedly refused. You repeatedly post false information, which I correct even though you (by your own...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Again, false information. Please actually get your facts straight rather than blindly parroting Walter Martin's lies.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

No. Sex is not remotely involved here. And the Father and Christ have always existed. If you want to move away from talking about God/Christ to talk about other people, we can. But let's just make sure it's clear that that it's a different subject.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

"Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image" "Gen 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil" (emphasis mine)

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Not remotely. Christ alone is the Son of God, the only Begotten. He alone is the Savior, set a part before the creation of the world. He alone has always been perfect and one with the Father. Everyone else is a son of God. Everyone else has/will at one point sinned and falls was short...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

The "Mormon Christ" is the exact same one preached in the Bible: the Son of God. The Creator of this world whom was in the beginning with the Father. That was born on this earth to a virgin as a humble baby, laid in manager. Who grew up, preached His Father's Gospel and lived a perfect life...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Except I am. CoreIssue, Walter Martian and his ilk sold you a complete load of lies about what LDS people believe. If you want to check you facts with an actual LDS person, you can. If you want to visit an LDS church and see for yourself, you can. If you want to just blindly take Walter...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

That is core LDS beliefs. There's none. Any member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints whom marries a second person is pretty much instantly excommunicated for apostasy.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Completely false. @CoreIssue or anyone else, anytime you would like to get your facts straight on what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe, my offer to explain anything to listening ears still stands.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

That is a very broad statement. Yes, there are other elements to any Christian faith other than the statement "Jesus is the Christ". Christ's divine Sonship and us following Him is the most important thing though.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Jesus Christ = the Son of God, the Creator and Redeemer, Alpha and Omega. My Savior and Lord.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Indeed. There is much about God and His wonders that our tiny minds don't fit around. We should never shut out Him expanding out knowledge, even if it challenges our previous tiny-minded paradigms.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

That's a fair point-- it's helpful to expand on words. To do so: the best preaching is not done from a pulpit nor is it with words. It is by actions/character: having His light shine through you. Never pretend to be perfect-- we are all sinners. If is is the uncommon time when it is the time...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Mine does extensively, both on an institutional level and also just with random members too ("every member a missionary" is literally a slogan). Still, while we are to follow God's command to preach His words, it is the Spirit whom does the converting and changes willing hearts.
  19. J

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

It is GOD that changes hearts, through the Holy Spirit. It's not a men's actions (including men's actions in a church body).

How did you go from "I see that you are a Buddhist" to "Being a Buddhist completely as good as being a Christian"? That's several HUGE steps in logic. Acknowledging that someone is a Buddhist is simply acknowledging that fact. It's not agreeing with their beliefs.
