Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Somebody who forces someone to believe something is a brainwasher. Somebody who forces themselves on another is a rapist. Somebody who treats something just to kill it is a murderer. Somebody who forces people to gruesome burning is a extreme narcissist. Do you worship such a being?

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Please actually answer the question: Saved with or without consent? Without consent is to be a being FAR worse than any mortal rapist or mass murder.

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Nonsense! This is John 3:16! This is the Gospel! This is the God of love. It is not the god of Calvinism. It is not about a villain whom creates people just to doom them. Whom forces himself on others more than any mortal rapiest or brainwasher could.

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Again: A) Man has a choice whether or not to accept Christ. Christ loves all people, died for all people, and whomever shall believe on His name shall be saved. or B) God forces himself on some people and not on others. God does not love all people, let alone die for them-- rather some he...

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Dave these are the possible theological avenues here: A) Man has a choice whether or not to accept Christ. Christ loves all people, died for all people, and whomever shall believe on His name shall be saved. or B) God forces himself on some people and not on others. God does not love all...

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

Clarification on this part-- Christ's atonement and the fact that we can be forgiven of our sins is indeed the central core of the Gospel message. Going along with this obviously is our repentance, and submission to Him. I'm not a person who's going to pretend that I or any other professing...

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

"I'm sorry you feel that way and have had bad experiences. For me, I strive to follow God, and aim high in that regard. I do frequently fall short, and I'm not going to deny that. In fact, the chance to be forgiven and try again is the central core of Christ's message. I keep aiming high...

    What is a Christian?

    Again, preaching to the choir.

    What is a Christian?

You are spending a lot of effort preaching to the choir.

    What is a Christian?

That wasn't the purpose of my saying this, please keep things in context-- "I do agree with that verse. I do also feel a sense of caution though-- that my (or any other mortal's) view is limited. It is the fallen man tendency to so quickly classify things on outward markers, when we really...

Debate- Calvinist vs Catholic - who won?

An assessment of someone's public speaking skills has nothing to do with the Truthfulness of their arguments. And Truth is not revealed by man's prowess, but testified to an individual's heart by the Holy Spirit.

    What is a Christian?

I do agree with that verse. I do also feel a sense of caution though-- that my (or any other mortal's) view is limited. It is the fallen man tendency to so quickly classify things on outward markers, when we really don't see the whole picture (including the heart).

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

I have offered to discuss things with CoreIssue via PM literally dozens of times, only to be ignored. This is his grudge, and I cannot do anything about it. I wish everyone on here peace from the bottom of my heart, and have zero interest interest in proselytizing (giving or receiving)...

    What is a Christian?

And does any mortal judge that?

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

No one is denying that false teachers and false beliefs exist. But that's not the point of @amadeus post. Please read and ponder it again, so you understand his excellent message.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

If a person just follows the crowd of men, so often horrible things happen. All the more reason to make sure each of us individually read scriptures, pray, and speak with God.

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

ALL churches in the USA have a history of racism. Many churches did things like support slavery from the pulpit or forbid "blacks" from entering "white" churches. For the LDS church: LDS have always been anti slavery and had congregations that welcomed all resources-- stances which contributed...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

Again, LDS believe in ONE God. Multiple persons (Father, Son, Spirit), ONE God. The difference between the LDS view and the Athanasian view is on *how* they are one: LDS via unity, Athanasian via homoousios. God consisting of multiple persons is shown throughout scriptures, even in the very...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

The Athanasian view of God ("the Trinity) is not being discussed here. LDS do not believe in homoousios, rather believe the Father/Son/Spirit to be one God through unity. That theological context is ESSENTIAL for even starting to address these non-canonical speculations.
