    Not faith alone?

No; for the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in me because I walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:4). I don't wear tzitztit and tallit and tefilin and neither do I blow the trumpet on the new moon; but because the love of the Lord is shed abroad in my heart (Romans 5:5)...

    Not faith alone?

Also, believers, while we are not under the law, do have the law written in our hearts and on our minds (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6; Romans 5:5).

    Not faith alone?

Believers are not under the law of Moses (Romans 6:14). Unbelieving Jews and Gentiles are (Romans 3:9-19, Galatians 3:23, Romans 3:19-20). Yes I consider myself to be an evangelist; and people in my church have affirmed that this is what I am.

    Not faith alone?

It remains that those who do not have faith, Christ did not die for them. He did die for them; but they did not appropriate His death unto the forgiveness of their sins. So it is as though He didn't die for them. Now I'm starting to sound like Sleepy Joe...

    Not faith alone?

Again, you have quoted only half a verse. Here is a full passage: Jas 1:22, But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Jas 1:23, For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: Jas 1:24, For he...

Does ALL sins include "Past, Present and Future" sins?

If we love, then the other commandments will be fulfilled in us also... Rom 13:8, Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Rom 13:9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear...

Israel was to relate God's law to the other nations. next............
  8. J

    Not faith alone?

There is a law in the New Testament.
  9. J

    Not faith alone?

Where else would I learn that the law leads Gentiles to Jesus, except the New Testament? (Psalms 19:7 (kjv) also...)

    Not faith alone?

I think that the NT application of this passage is that those who seek to win believers to other gods will have their part in the lake of fire.

    Not faith alone?

I haven't yet preached this passage because I haven't studied it out. I spend the majority of my time in the New Testament.

    Not faith alone?

In context, they have access by faith into the grace wherein they stand (Romans 5:1-2).
  13. J

    Not faith alone?

That is categorically false. Christ died for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2) and gave Himself as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:6). The exclusivity of the gospel is in that a man must place his faith in Christ in order to appropriate His shed blood...

Does ALL sins include "Past, Present and Future" sins?

You're going to get it from our heavenly Father for being a liar concerning the challenge that you made to all of us and then when you lost you didn't pay up...that is, if you really belong to the Lord as one of His children (are not a bastard but a true son).
  16. J

    Not faith alone?

Most definitely...and it is a righteousness apart from the law that is nevertheless attested to by the law and the prophets (Romans 3:21) that it is righteousness indeed. (see also Romans 8:4, Romans 8:7, Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6) and I may have missed a few...

See the latter part of post #127 (Does ALL sins include "Past, Present and Future" sins?).

Does ALL sins include "Past, Present and Future" sins?

He will say that to those who are defined as "workers of iniquity" (Matthew 7:23, Matthew 13:41-42). People are not exempt from being that just because the penalty for their sin has been paid. It must be a practical reality in thier lives that they are not "workers of iniquity" if they are...
