    Jesus isn't Catholic

I have completely obliterated your denial of POTS in some of my posts; which you have failed to address. My point is that Paul doesn't tell anyone to call him "father". You are not even to call your biological father "father"; how much less a Catholic priest?

Christians and the Law of Moses

Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind... and, We that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak. Romans 14-15.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

To @BreadOfLife, I have the following question: In Romans 6:23, eternal life is said to be a gift, correct? How do you account for the following verse: Rom 11:29 (nkjv), For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Seeing salvation is a gift and the gifts of God are irrevocable, I...

Christians and the Law of Moses

There is no law against being obedient to the Spirit (walking according to the love of the Lord).

    Jesus isn't Catholic

The pure gospel is actually told by these verses: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 John 3:16 Galatians 3:22.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

How did we divert to the tangent of biblical prophecy? To @bbyrd009, I may get to responding to you in due time, I don't feel like answering right now.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

If you are of the ground that produces thirty, sixty, a hundredfold, you cannot lose your salvation. Jhn 15:16, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father...

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

Could have been any of the other five also...or none of the five. Where do you specifically get Judah out of this as a "parable". And what do you interpret "being in torments" to mean, parabolically? Your rhetorical question indicates to me that you believe this ought to be taken literally...

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

    What they literally mean.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

That is the watered-down version; which also finds itself in contradiction to 2 Corinthians 5:10 and Romans 14:10-12 and 1 Corinthians 3:11-15.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

I'm not sure what your point is. Say on...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Actually, what I'm saying is that Jesus told us not to call anyone on earth "father" for we have one Father which is in heaven. Whatever arguments you may seek to bring against this scripture do not nullify this scripture. Abraham and Isaac are not on the earth any more; And Paul actually...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Again, it is a matter of semantics. The Bible is clearly written in English; for I can read it in English.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

So, you're saying that satan has the power to pull us up by the roots? Can a plant pull itself up by its roots? No one can snatch us out of God's hand (John 10:27-30).

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Without the Holy Spirit? If he was led of the Holy Spirit and preached in the power of the Holy Spirit, I would venture to say the denomination was started by Christ.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

So there are many wicked people who will sit in the temple of God, shewing themselves that they are God?
  17. J

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

@ReChoired, What does "being in torments" (Luke 16:23) parabolically mean? It should be clear that in the story, the rich man was suffering those torments because he wasn't faithful to the Lord in his life.

    See Galatians 5:18.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

See Romans 3:21. There is a righteousness of God that is apart from the law, that is attested to by the law and the prophets. In Galatians 3:14, Galatians 5:22-23, we see where this righteousness comes from. Not from attempting to obey a set of do's and don'ts; but from receiving the Holy...

I certainly don't hate her...I do believe that she is deceived and deceiving others, however. I will pray for her salvation.
