How could the Messiah be sinless?

However, you are using human reasoning to come to that conclusion. You need to not rely on your own understanding. Which, I don't do. How is Isaiah 1:18 being misused? If Christians are not, never to use their reasoning capabilities, then Isaiah 1:18 is being applied properly by me.

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

No; I believe that my answer in post #23 answers your objection sufficiently. Apply what I said about the Greek word for "and" to the verses that you quoted in post #22; and how do those verses then state that Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are separate Persons?

How could the Messiah be sinless?

God does in fact encourage the sinner to use his human reasoning capabilities and to reason with the Lord, in order that his sins, which are as scarlet, may be made as white as snow. In Proverbs 3:5, God is talking to the believer in Christ, telling him not to lean on his own understanding, in...

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

I attended a church in South Carolina that had it down to a science, as pertaining to letting the Holy Spirit take control of the service. One of the primary worship songs, sung every service, had the repetitive words, "Come and take control," as the young people danced in the Spirit; and then...

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

Not the ears and eyes and tongue of Christ; for He is without sin. Abandonment is a plausible reason why the believing spouse can remarry. Do you believe that he will inherit the kingdom of God when he committed adultery on you? See 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. He is not a believer; for he is not...

    The Blood Loses None

The main factor in all of this is whether you believe you are saved. You may think that you are saved, and yet may not be. So, we can only go by what we think. If I think I am saved and am not (because my faith is merely nominal, lukewarm, or shallow), it is beneficial to understand that if I...

    Grace vs Legalism

Jude 1:3-4 teaches us that false teachers were long ago ordained to the condemnation of hell.

    The Blood Loses None

Here is a scenario for you. A person believes that they are saved according to John 5:24 (kjv), but gets left behind and has to go through the Great Trib. If they take the mark, but still are banking on John 5:24 as their salvation verse, are they still saved by the principle of that verse...

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

That would indicate that we are saved by works to a certain extent (because faith doesn't always save). Because if faith alone doesn't assure us of salvation (because demons also believe) then it is only a faith that has works that will save a man (because the works shew forth that our faith is...

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

yes, there are: 1) the atmoshpere, 2) outer space, and, 3) the third heaven where the throne of the Lord is located and where the saints will live in eternity. You still have sin in you. Hair-splitting may lead to division but it is also important because it has to do with coming to the...

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

It is not saving faith in that it does not make a person one of God's elect. But it is faith nevertheless. So, we have to deal with this scripture: Eph 2:8, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9, Not of works, lest any man should...

    The Blood Loses None

Heb 4:12, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The word will say to the person who believes that they...

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

In Mark 16:16, the one who believes and is baptized "shall be" saved; Whereas in John 3:16, the one who merely believes "should not" perish. To me this says that if we get baptized properly, we can have absolute assurance of salvation. Merely believing is iffy.

    Rest IN Peace

"Any time we point the finger at other people, we have three fingers pointing back at us." --Pastor Romaine of the Calvary Chapel Movement; Based on Matthew 7:1-5 and Luke 6:41-42.

How to have the right Mind

If we say that we have no sin when the Holy Ghost is pinpointing it to us in our minds, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8). If we have not committed sin since the last time we confessed a sin and/or were saved, then the Holy Spirit will not be pinpointing any sin...

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

We are kept by the power of the Lord through faith. If someone's faith is nominal, shallow, or lukewarm, it is faith; however, when it is tested it may not stand the test and the person will fall away (Luke 8:13). They will not have faith any more; and thus will not have salvation any more...

    The Blood Loses None

The point is that they think that they are saved and that they cannot lose their salvation.

    The Blood Loses None

There is a person here, @Behold, who teaches that we have no indwelling sin in contradiction to 1 John 1:8. In doing so, he is deceiving himself and the truth is not in him. Beware of him, he is a false teacher. As for me, I do touch on the law of the Lord and I do so as a true evangelist...

    The Blood Loses None

It depends on what is being spoken. You can be sure that the Lord is aware of every heresy that will ever develop. And even the scripture in question, will very likely be useful in dealing with such heresies that are foreknown by the Lord. For example, someone might come up with the heresy...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Why then, does God say in His word, Isa 1:18, Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
